Hyatt Place Flushing/LGA Airport

I rarely give such low ratings, but this hotel is incredibly dishonest. I arrived at 1 AM on the 28th, and the front desk clerk coldly informed me that the twin-bed room I booked had been sold, and they only had a king-bed room available. I explained that I had pre-paid for the room, and more importantly, my child is in high school and couldn't share a bed with me. I also pointed out that my reservation had been confirmed for a month, so how could it suddenly be unavailable? He just kept repeating that it was gone and this was the only room, with an extremely poor attitude. Since it was past 1 AM, I reluctantly accepted, asking them to prepare the sofa bed quickly, but they didn't show up for an hour. This kind of service is an embarrassment to Hyatt; it's worse than a motel. Fortunately, Trip.com's concierge, Xiao Xiang, actively helped resolve the issue with multiple follow-ups, which I appreciate. I will never return to such a dishonest hotel; let it be for the brave ones. Service: Absolutely abysmal!

I've stayed here multiple times. The hotel is located in the bustling Chinatown area. While there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, this also drives up the room rates quite a bit. Breakfast is included, but the selection is limited and the same every day. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to LaGuardia Airport, but unfortunately, there's no shuttle for JFK. I particularly want to thank the Chinese driver; he chatted with us the whole way and provided excellent service. Seeing that I was with my elderly parents and child, he even helped carry our luggage all the way to our room. He also made sure to greet us at breakfast the next day.

Overall, the hygiene and service were excellent, and the breakfast spread was quite good. The front desk also had staff who spoke Mandarin. Plus, there's a bus service to the airport. Fantastic!

Beyond changing linens and emptying the trash, there's practically no room service. As a former five-star hotel employee, I believe this hotel has significant training issues. Housekeeping is the worst, followed by the front desk and F&B, which also have room for improvement. The hotel's location is superb, which pretty much guarantees a good occupancy rate.

The room was quite spacious and clean, and the shower had good water temperature and drainage. I was too tired to take photos when I checked in, but I was very satisfied with the room, the service, and the shuttle transfer. Plus, there's a delicious Nanxiang Steamed Bun restaurant right next to the hotel.
