I enjoyed my stay here. on the first night, I checked in late, and the owner, Kevin, was very kind to wait for me and even helped carry my luggage upstairs. I really appreciated it because I was so tired from the flight. The room is comfortable and has a heater, which is helpful because I came during a rather cold season. Water is free, and you can make your own coffee or tea. Breakfast is served from 8–9 AM; in my experience, it was always a burger and tea. The location is okay, though you might need to take some stairs. Bringing luggage is doable, but assess first whether you can manage it. It’s also near Jiufen Old Street—about a 3–5 minute walk. There’s also bus stops nearby that will take you to the city center. bonus: the building has lots of cute cats :)

I made a reservation in Jiufen in a hurry late in the afternoon. I barely made it there, and after carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs, I found myself in a mountain lodge. The owner was so kind. He even helped me carry my suitcase to the bus stop. The explanations and guide were so helpful. I had a great day and am leaving. I want to come back again and get some rest. The view outside the window in the morning was so beautiful, and I had a delicious breakfast. Stay healthy and make lots of money.

We rented three motorcycles; parking was convenient at the guesthouse. They also provided very detailed information about attractions and restaurants. Although it's a mountain area, the hot water for showering was very strong. There was also a heating and cooling system.

It's about a five-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, but you may get lost at first. Jiufen is a hilly town, and even to get to the inn you'll need to climb several stairs and slopes. Also, due to the large number of insects and cats, bringing a carrier is not recommended. The owner was very friendly and explained how to get around Jiufen and what to be careful of. Because the inn is a converted private home, the walls are thin, and the footsteps of guests upstairs were quite noticeable during my stay. There were also a few insects in the room. The hot water is strong, but it takes a while to heat up. While I wouldn't recommend this inn for those with sensitive skin, the view from the inn was beautiful.

The location is not easy to find. Cars cannot drive in. You have to walk more than ten meters from the small road to the door. There are also more than ten steps. It will be troublesome if you have a lot of suitcases. But the staff were really nice. We couldn't find the door so we contacted them. Even though they were busy, they came out right away to show us the way and helped us with our suitcases. We are really grateful. It is quite close to Jiufen Old Street. The staff also recommended us the check-in spots and must-eats in the old street. The breakfast was hamburgers and Wuhua tea (I think so, because the breakfast was hung at the door for us in the morning, so it was not clear what we were eating). The room is clean and not too big, but it has enough space for a large suitcase. The mattress is very soft, which we can accept~ Recommended for people with less luggage, backpackers, and those who like the suburbs. The environment is beautiful, the service is great, and there are cats 🐱
