We soent over an hour attempting to check-in, however Reservations desk could not find our Trip.com reservations. We sat in the hotel lobby, and attempted to log-in with my personal laptop and mobile device to give my Trip.com booking reservation info to the Clerk, but Alder Hotel policy deemed you must be a guest to log-in to their internet services, thus we were unable to connect to show our booking confirmation.
The Hotel Valet Clerk was exceptional, she offered to keep our car parked in front of hotel Alder until we could get checked in. The Front Desk Clerk was friendly, but there was nothing she could do and she did not have a room availabke for the price Trio.com offerref.
Since we could not confirm our reservation, we left the hotel, after driving 9 hours and were totally exhausted at 9:00 pm, we contacted a friend who got us a reservation at another hotel, with lesser amenities, in the Uptown area, further away from our business meeting the next day. As senior travelers and as a Disabled Veteran, this was a very undesirable and exhaustive evening.
