This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

A beautiful place to stop at Nemombo! Especially after flight)) REALLY close to the airport (15 minutes on tuktuk)! Beautiful hotel area, spacious rooms! There are all necessary for comfortable rest! Delicious Sasha restaurant five minutes walk from the hotel! Supermarkets, souvenir shops, long coastline in 5-15 minutes on tuck-tuck! The delicious breakfast was included in the cost! Hotel host Udi, a beautiful man! Very polite, participatory, super-responsive, always helps, answers all questions, will do everything in his power to make your rest in the hotel wonderful! I love this place, people! I advise everyone and I will definitely come back myself! ❤️ Thank you very much for everything ❣️

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. We had ourHome Coming function at Arena Artorium, Avenra Garden, Negombo with about 350 guests. They have made it unforgettable and it was nicely organised. Staff were really helpful and nice. Event Cordinator, Mr Ibrahim, gave us a remarkable service. Rooms were also up to the standards and with all the amenities. Food was mouthwatering and delicious. Recommended.

The location of the hotel is excellent, the service is warm and thoughtful, the breakfast is okay, self-service, the fatal problem is that the bed is too soft, the pillows are very hard and high, super uncomfortable, I didn't sleep well all night, and I couldn't sleep on the pillows. Nearby bus stop or train station It is difficult to walk without using a taxi or tuk-tuk. There are no amenities. I need to bring it. It was spicy but very delicious. Hotel tuk 🏨 I think the tuk is expensive. I had money troubles. I went shopping at the place I asked for, and it took a long time because the cash register was crowded. I was charged an astonishing amount. ,, I asked why, but the answer was difficult to understand. A little disappointing. It is better to discuss the money with the owner before using it. I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢

The hotel is very good, I set the annex, it is opposite, noisy along the street, but the rooms are relatively clean. In addition, you can enjoy all the equipment in the main building. The swimming pool is nice and the hotel has a private beach which looks great. The service staff were very good. Breakfast is very generous, single room set, but with children, only 850 rubles (33 yuan) for half-price breakfast. The next day I stayed at the Jetwing lake hotel under Lion Rock, great!

I booked a deluxe king-bed room to make it more comfortable for me to sleep alone. The guy at the front desk made it into a twin-bed room for me. After communicating with me, I quickly changed the room. The facilities and equipment are quite old. When booking this hotel, don’t book it on Ctrip The reservation for dinner and breakfast was a group that was not delicious. The Western food at the restaurant for an extra fee is still available and the price is not expensive. It is just too close to the seaside. Sometimes there will be power outages. Sometimes the lights will be on and the air conditioner will automatically turn off (I guess the voltage is insufficient) , there is also a jewelry store on the first floor of the hotel, don’t buy it, they are all jewelry with high water content! When I left at the end, I piled a pillow mountain of tips on them (just 1,300 rupees).
