Grand Mercure Nasu Highlands Resort & Spa

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Perhaps because it was summer vacation, I noticed a predominant number of families with children. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of dishes, with many kid-friendly options, especially the soft-serve ice cream.

The staff weren't very familiar with the procedures. Because the hotel is so popular, the hygiene control might not be perfect, as we found a cockroach near the snack dispenser on the second floor. I'd recommend the sister hotel in Bayue Mountain instead.

It was great to enjoy local dumplings and Yuba (tofu skin) for meals. The surrounding discounts were also a nice bonus to enjoy on the way home.

There were lots of places for the kids to play, which was great, but before bed, we had a tough time with about five flies 🪰. In the morning, the 13th floor was so noisy it woke us up!

There are too few elevators (only 3) for the number of rooms. Also, when the food ran out, there weren't enough staff to replenish it, so I didn't get to eat much. Plus, the amenities provided were very sparse.

The room was spacious and clean, which was great. Even though it was just a stay without meals, we were able to use the lounge in the evening for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and snacks! However, the serving times were a bit short, so it would have been even better if there was drip coffee in the room. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.
