Scarborough Beach Motel

A great room, very clean and great view of the ocean! Delicious coffee in the morning!

A group of us came up in the off season for duck hunting. Before making our long drive, I called the office to ask about parking my truck and boat in their parking lot. The employee assured me that there would be room and it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived, there was 1 parking spot taken in all of the lots. At check in they told me that it would be an additional 20 dollars per day because I had an 18ft boat trailer. I told them that I already cleared it with someone on the phone, proved it and then they still charged me with the response that it’s just policy and that associate was newer. We just towed a boat for 700 miles and I would have stayed somewhere else if they would have refunded me (I requested to have a refund and they stated no). After having to pay that, they asked that I park the boat around the back of the building because they could get busy. During our trip, the parking lot had only 1 vehicle in the lot. I didn’t want to park the boat out on the other side so I had to disconnect the boat every day. Not impressed with the customer service especially when they knew very well that it wouldn’t get busy and they made me pay 20 dollars per day to park it. Also, twice we went to try and exchange towels and get toilet paper (late afternoon but before 9pm) and no one was in the office. Overall, we ARE coming back to the area next year, but this WILL NOT be our place of stay. NOT IMPRESSED

From check-in to check-out, my experience staying at the Scarborough Beach Motel is ALWAYS top notch. The interactions with staff are super lovely and my rooms are always super clean and cozy to stay in. I will always highly recommend staying here if ever someone is going out to the area! It’s been my top choice for the past 5 years and it will continue to be!

Solid one night stay in October. I’d imagine it would be very nice in the summer. Overpriced.

We have stayed here 5 or 6 years now. The motel is always clean, and the staff are very helpful and nice. It's always quiet in September and we just love it here.

Scarborough Beach Hotel is perfect for beach lovers in Narragansett. Nothing fancy. Easy walk across street to the beach; leave car at hotel and avoid parking fees. Rooms are clean and very well designed - though they may feel small at first the furniture and layout kept us comfortable throughout the day and night. Staff is friendly and helps with any request.

Please not room next to laundry area. The room was a good size but it was right next to the area where the staff washes linens. So in the morning there was a lot of noise that was right up against where the headboard of the bed was. That lasted for over an hour…daily. Parking on the backside of the motel is tight and people didn’t park in between the lines and I was forced to park in a non marked spot. I did put my parking pass on my dash though. There was a slight step up to the room from the door that was marked with worn yellow tape. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was a dehumidifier in the room in addition to the a/c so it was a bit noisy. I shut the dehumidifier off after it became full and I emptied it. I was so excited to stay here because of my stay last year. This stay was meh.

The property was clean and well maintained. I would suggest not only vacumming the room but also washing the floors in the room as well as the bathroom. The pads on the mops I saw being used were very dirty. I think they should be changed, for good health reasons, after each room is wiped down. I would have liked to see more choices for breakfast such as fresh fruit in season, whole wheat toast, and or small containers of yogurt
