Very close to local train and bus station but for JR is 15 minutes walk, though the JR has a bus line for it but you still need to pay $220.and have to wait every 20 minutes! the local bus is more convenient! Take the Yamato Line from Platform 2 of the JR Line for three stops and walk for 20 minutes; Platform 4 to JR Kyoto takes 48 minutes.
