UFUN Hotel (Nanjing Chaoyang Square Jianzheng Road Branch)

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Nanning. First, the front desk upgraded my room for free, and the room was very spacious with a smart Xiao Du assistant to control everything. Secondly, the room was very quiet, and the bedding was super comfortable. I could get a great night's sleep while traveling. Most importantly: the location in the old city is excellent! Downstairs is the Jianzheng Road Night Market! You can find anything you want to eat there! Coffee, milk tea, you name it! It's incredibly convenient. However, it seems like a lot of business travelers stay here, so you need to book in advance. I booked for two nights and wanted to extend my stay, but there were no rooms available! It was a shame I had to change hotels.

The hotel is clean, and the front desk service is excellent and patient. The location is also great, with plenty of options for meals and late-night snacks right downstairs.

The night market downstairs was a bit messy and dirty, so if you like that kind of thing, this place might be for you. I could still hear a bit of noise from outside during the day even with the windows closed, but it was quiet at night. It's in the old town, but luckily it's quite close to Nanning East Station, about a ten-minute drive. The hotel building also has offices, and I noticed one room always had its door open. Inside, I saw several computers and people working, almost like long-term residents, which felt a bit off. On my first day, I arrived around 4 or 5 PM, and my room hadn't been cleaned yet. There were no toothbrushes in the room either. The freshly made noodles for breakfast were good; the rest was just so-so.
