Holiday Inn Nanjing Aqua City

I’ll start with the negatives: 1. Room was too hot at 24-25.5 degrees in early Nov and ventilation was bad. Despite the hotel supplied a standing fan but the fan was extremely noisy with rattling sound. The sun shines directly into the room and there’s almost no wind getting into room. 2. The hotel and its rooms are dated and the tv shows aren’t clear, not even 720p quality. 3. The staff in the breakfast dining hall looked really tired , 0 smiles or greeting but they do help when approached to fill up my bottle with warm water. The positives are: 1. Location was great, near the 夫子庙 (Confucius temple) and shopping street. Just about 10 minutes walk and next to a big mall. 2. The front end staff I approached was accommodating and was willing to show me a few options of the rooms when i approached the front end staff to inform them the room was too hot. Despite their effort, they did not solve or addressed my concern. But kudos for the effort. They said they will try to talk manager to come up with some compensation but it’s all talk but no action. If you are the manager or the customer service from this hotel , trying to comment or reply to this post using your usual tactics by saying a few nice words and defend your position , saved it. You aren’t going to reach out to your customer directly but just trying to do damage control by replying to this post. We all know you will not be trying to improve your service. Very disappointing.

Great location in the mall. Service was great,we were allowed later checked out time. The room was big enough and clean

Nice room

Location is good near confucious temple, next to aqua city shopping mall where there plenty of food b2. There is two 24 hour convenience store lawson. There is atm to withdraw money （unionpay visa）in the hotel and shuttle bus （30 rmb） to nanjing lukou airport .
