We first came to this resort and ate at the restaurant, I gave it a five out of five, the food was excellent, so three days later we came back to stay, and I have to say we were disappointed, the owner Roger is very friendly, but we were made some promises that were not fulfilled, I told him repeatedly that we were vegetarian, and we didn’t like a lot of sugar in our food, we got sugar in the yogurt, sugar in the granola, and sugar in the food all the time, sauces and flavouring was all heavily loaded with sugar, I ordered 2 different shrimp dishes (thinking there wouldn’t be any sugar in it), the glaze on top of the shrimp was loaded with sugar, Roger’s response was Thai’s eat a lot of sugar, I’m sorry that’s not good enough for me, when I was very clear in the beginning that we wanted to avoid massive amounts of sugar. Staff encouraged us to get a Thai massage, they told us it was 400 bat, so we went ahead and booked the massage, for my wife and I, we wanted a Thai massage, not an oil massage, we ended up with an oil massage even though that’s not what we wanted, then on our bill appeared 600 baht, not 400 baht, to be fair to Roger, we complained and he immediately charged us the agreed price of 400 baht, but we should not have had to bring this up at all, when we were in Nan city we were charged 150 baht for a one hour massage, it was fantastic, our 400 baht massage was a big disappointment, we also found the food to be disappointing, the portions are very small and overpriced for Thailand, The second day before we left, we were looking for Roger, we couldn’t find him anywhere, we asked the staff, and they said he was away, that evening we asked again where Roger was, and we finally found out that he had gone for two weeks or do for a vacation down south, he never said a word to us, we found that very strange, although the staff was very friendly, it didn’t seem the same without the owner there, we found it strange that he didn’t say goodbye, or he was going away, and thanks for coming to stay with us, etc. etc., kind of odd behaviour, The room was fantastic, we loved the views of the valley, no complaints there at all, They provided very warm blankets on top, because it’s very cold in Nan city at this time of the year, it went down to 8+ Celsius, but we were very warm, not one English channel on the TV, we are staying in another area, and we had 2 English channels, when you are on vacation it’s really nice to keep up with the news, especially with the Contra virus thing going on,not sure why there’s no English channels, when most of the guests, if not all are English speaking

It is quite satisfactory and there is no accident. The night in the palace is a bit cold, because the bathroom is an electric water heater. If you want hot water, you may choose a hotel instead of a homestay. If you are staying on weekdays, the little learner flags on the opposite side of 7:55 to sing! (You will wake up)

The grumpy guy that works evenings/nights has issues & zero English, but my Thai's good enough. The Thai gentleman before me received a much brighter attitude & got a room on the 2nd floor. I was put on the 4rth floor (no lift) when rooms were open on all floors (confirmed from the gal in the morning). Toilet didn't work, water pressure too weak, AC was noisy & inconsistent = small bits of sleep. 1st stay 2 weeks prior was bad (3rd floor), but thought that ornery guy was just having a bad day, however.... Check-in during the day, that gal is super nice & you'll get a decent room on a lower floor. Personally, I will avoid this hotel now.

This hotel is built on solid timber, and the exterior and interiors are thoughtfully designed and a feast for the eyes. The bed is comfortable and we were given a quiet corner away from the traffic noise. Breakfast is a good spread of both Western and local food. A wet market is located just opposite the hotel and giving us a fruitful time exploring the venue. Fortunately, our rented car decided to go on strike the next day (at the hotel car park) and refused to start. A quick diagnosis by the technical savvy staff was made and discovered that the car battery water needed to be topped up. The hotel manager's decisive instructions to her staff saved the day. With the car back in operation, she then became our 'tour encyclopedia' of Nan Waiang, patiently answering our numerous queries on where to visit, where to eat, laundry services, spa, etc. We were impressed with her dedicated service and appreciated and commended on her abundant mentality to help her guests. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this hotel, for its 'homely' atmosphere, easy access to places of interest and above all, the hospitality showed by the staff here to extend help when needed the most.

A small hotel in the alley, convenient to travel, not difficult to find, can easily walk out to find something to eat. Near the market, the room is very clean. Calm, no noise There is privacy, the parking lot may be a little less, but everything is overall good. Equipment and equipment in the room are complete.
