The Oak Trails Eco Lodge

An itch to travel somewhere new ,a call to nature Or simply wanting to experience the mesmerizing landscapes of the Himalayas. No matter your motivation - Oak Trails Eco Lodge will not disappoint. When I found this quaint dwelling amongst the plethora of listing on a popular travel website in Nov 23' - the picture of the property and surrounding flora caught my attention immediately. And I knew i had to give it a shot. So, without further hesitation - booked the property for late Nov. Arriving by road from Delhi - I realised I had ignored the notice by the properiter that the lodge is ~800meters trek up hill; Oh well! at least the lovely and attentive staff was waiting for us roadside and didn't hesitate to grab our city-packed full sized luggage and we began the hike. Food wise - if you enjoy a soulful home meal - you'll have no complains. I was surprised to find myself binging more than usual. Full marks to the staff on their service! Thank you - Pankaj, Rakesh, Pooran and Ganesh! This place doesn't need me to write it's review - just a single look at the pictures. Lastly - thanks to the proprietor Bobby - for setting up and running this slice of solace. More power to you! P.S. - spotted a lepoard on the Oak Trails. Bobby - i'm in half a mind to suggest changing the name to Lepoard Trails ;)

I occasionally go there whenever I am looking for peace and nature. This place is damn good and a must visit location for all visiting Nainital or Kainchi Dham. You will thank me later. Go for the peace for for the Oak Trails.

"The Oak Trail Eco Lodge" is a very lovely place to stay, with mesmerizing views all around the property. One side there is a beautiful view of Haryal village valley and another another side on the main entrance is followed with a walking trail. You can track to Bagar village by following this trail. Truly speaking it's been a wonderful experience i ever had. My children loved this place. There are three most loveliest, friendliest and cutiest pets in this property. My kids first time got so much emotional while leaving this place. Really me too liked these pets Buddy, Googina and Dollar the most. Very friendly pets🤗🤗. The staff was very attentive and the owner too was very humble, caring and concerned not only for guests but for the nature also. I have seen him watering the plants himself in the early morning. 😊Staying to "Oak Trail Eco Lodge" was a home like feeling. I will visit soon next time and will stay for longer time this time for sure 😊

We spent 4 days at Oaktrails Eco Lodge as part of our daughter's summer vacation holiday and this place started feel like home. Our 7 year old daughter never had tears while returning from a holiday, but this place has been an exception. The serenity of this place, the beautiful views of the Himalayas from the front yard, the lovely trail at the backyard, the peaceful surroundings, the chirping of the birds through out the day, playful and friendly pets (Dollar, Buddy & Gogina), the personal touch of the staff with the guests, quality of food all have been exceptional. The most important factor about our stay which very much touched me and my wife is the owner Bobby who treated us like family. Bobby ji catered to ***y of our needs as small as playing music of our taste. The beautiful trail from the road to the lodge is a heavenly experience for nature lovers. The early morning bird watching with a local guide is a must thing to do for bird/nature/trekking lovers. The pets of the lodge deserved to be pampered by the pet lovers, my daughter was with them only for the most of the time. We go on holidays usually once in 3 months, but we never felt so much warmth & welcomed the way we felt at The Oaktrails Eco Lodge. Highly recommended for people looking for a place to stay deep in the nature, who is looking for a place which makes you feel like home. This is the 1st, but definitely not the last visit of ours. Beautiful place to live for 2-3 days or more if you like quiet places, away from hustle and bustle. It is a small property of 7 rooms. Beautiful green garden having small sitting places here and there. You can sit outside and enjoy deep beautiful valley in front of your room. Owner of the property Bobby is good host. Staff is good does all the things with smiling face specifically Mr. Bisht Ji and Pankaj. Very good property for pet lovers. They have three dogs n one cat. They are so playful that they definitely will make your trip more memorable. There Chef is also very nice. Food is so good. Fresh and well cooked n served with smile. You have to park your car on road which is safe and walk up to the hill around 850mts which is around 15 min walk upto the lodge. You have to be fit and nature lover for this. I do have knee problem but I ***aged it not so difficult actually. I recommend to have experience of this property.

We visited here in first week of June. The stay has a uphill trek of 850 from parking and when you reach here the beauty of this quaint property and the view from if is serene and breathtaking. The staff here is extremely caring and helpful and the food they prepare is just amazing. The owner himself takes interest in every guest's comfort. If you love nature, tranquility and peace, it is a must visit place which is away from hustle bustle of hill stations like Nainital and give you an opportunity to connect with the calm.

It's a great place to unwind in nature. It's almost atop the hill, to reach requires some walking up the hill. Lovely dining come common room with some nice books. If you are lucky on a clear day one can get view to snow mountains. Food preperation is good and like home. The place is run by owner with passion and with concern for environment.
