Hotels near Daizahoushi Pond, Nagano

I felt this hotel was a breath of fresh air. Super friendly staff, really clean, good food and well located. You get what you pay for but I felt this was really good value for money especially considering other hotels we had stayed at in Japan on our trip

I should have booked ”no smoking” from the official site of the inn, but I received a ”smoking” in the reservation completion email, and I called the front desk while tilting my neck, and I received a guide that there was no non smoking room. On the other hand, the J floor sells the good view, and the view is certainly good, but I think it is NG to ask for the beauty of nature (mountain and tree) because Nagano city itself is a city. ＜ The atmosphere of the whole hotel ＞ Because of the business hotel and the JAL series, there are many guests who seem to be business trips, and tourist guests are also more calm. The dishes related to miso are using Shinshu miso and you can enjoy ”Nagano no Taste”, so I think you should try at least one kind. (I'm lost whether I can write my true sound, but it's better to eat at this hotel than eat at the outside shop) Nagano Station ～ Based on the good location between Zenko Ji Temple, I think it was a very good hotel. Next time I go sightseeing in Nagano, I will not dare to change the inn from here.

Very comfortable 3 star hotel with 6 minute walk from the Jr. Station. The manager went to the extra effort of helping me with catching busses and even hand wrote options on a separate paper for me. Getting back from dinner I had a gift bag in my room with a keepsake from the hotel. The room had a fridge, kettle and a dressing gown and slippers for the onsen The onsen was clean and well appointed on the second floor with a sauna,hot bath and cold dipping bath. Very invigorating after a day's skiing! The Japanese breakfast the next day was delicious and with plenty of variety. Sadly the coffee was not to my liking and could be improved. Value hotel and customer service was what you would find in a hotel costing much more. For a great sleep ask for a floor up high..8th..and I certainly appreciated the view and the option to open the window for fresh air by which to sleep. Highly recommended......

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are great, with a hot spring in the hotel coupled with nice selection of free ice cream and soy sauce noodles. Nothing but praises

I chose this hotel because of its location but also because they have great customer service. From the time I booked via Agoda, I had some questions for the hotel ahead of time, and they replied to every question,e.g. their luggage delivery cut-off times,etc with utmost clarity and replied promptly and frequently (compared to another hotel I booked previously). It gave me no worries that I would find the hotel I booked in perfect order when I arrived. Amenities were complete (some are available in the room but also more in the lobby area) and the room was clean. They gave us new towels every day (hanging outside my door or quickly given to me when they saw me in the hall) even if I didn't want to have maid service. They also asked me if they could do a very quick removal of trash which I appreciated. The housekeeper was also very cheerful and happy at all times :-) There's a convenience store on the ground floor, but also many other restaurants and shops around the area. the lobby is on the 5th floor and an elevator brings you up to the rooms. It's a perfect place to base ourselves especially since we were taking day trips out to Hotaka, Matsumoto, Shiojiri, and Naraijuku. All these with easy train rides from Nagano. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. They do go out of their way to make customers satisfied. The night front desk agent who was helping us with arrangements for luggage delivery didn't speak English too well, but you can see him trying his best. Between us doing google translate and his dedication to making us understand each other, we were both happy and satisfied. I would come back here to stay.

It is located right from JR Nagano Station and you don't need an umbrella because you can use the underground passage when it rains. Tokyu Department Store and Station Building are also adjacent, and there is also a agricultural cooperative shop right next door, so I changed local apples and vegetables cheaply. The room was bright, spacious and clean, quiet and comfortable despite the station. The breakfast was large and the seasoning was good and delicious. I was able to stay at a good price by utilizing the national travel discount, but I would like to choose this place next time I stay in Nagano.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

The location of the hotel is excellent - very close to the Railway Station and under cover all the way. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The breakfast was very good, as were the facilities. Overall, an excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

We had trouble finding this place as there is no English name on the building. Lucky we had a map and did not walk too far, before asking someone where it was. We were standing right outside the building!! It does not look like a hotel from outside, but once through the doors its is very nice with a spacious reception area. Room was quite large for Japan with all amenities you would need for your stay and a fairly large bathroom. Beds were very hard and firm, as were the pillows, akin to sleeping on the floor. We were facing the station, but did not hear any trains. If you stay on this side of the hotel you will be amazed by the amount of bikes parked at the station. Not sure how anyone would find which was theirs. There is a 7 eleven just down the street, so handy for supplies and a couple of restaurants on the station. We did not have time to venture to the other side of the station due to meeting up with different tour guides. We were only there for one night and had to leave extremely early to tour to see the snow monkeys, so grabbed an enjoyable coffee from the station. Nothing really special about this hotel, except for the reception staff who were lovely and very helpful.

Really like this hotel especially the little onsen provided on 2nd floor. Good location and easy check in and check out. Worth to return again. In the middle of all attractions. Visited nagano chrismas market.
