Facilities: Basic but functional. A bit dated, but very well-maintained. Service: Average. Cleanliness: Good. Location: Excellent.

We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay! The service was excellent, and everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. We booked a sea-view room, which was spacious, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. A highlight for us was the pre-booked breakfast and dinner at the hotel; they were fresh, delicious, and exquisitely prepared, with no repetition over our two-day stay. The staff at the tourist information center next to the station also provided exceptional service. They meticulously marked train schedules and maps with colored pens and even helped us look up the tidal times.

The room was spacious and bright, though the immediate surroundings were a bit quiet. We enjoyed delicious tuna at the nearby Dayu restaurant. It's a convenient 10-minute walk from the station, offering easy access to Damenban and the Grand Waterfall. The beach is also nearby, and Xiaohuangdao offers plenty of waves. Enjoying fishing and leisurely strolls was incredibly relaxing, making it well worth another stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it's impeccably clean. Both breakfast and dinner were decent. For a late-night snack, there's a self-service tuna shop right next door selling portions for 200-300 yen.

The room was spotless, and the sea view was absolutely breathtaking. The soundproofing was also quite good. The hot spring featured both indoor and outdoor pools. Although it's a 10-minute walk from the JR station, it's conveniently close to the Solitary Torii. Overall, a great stay.

Everything is really good especially the staff are really kind and helpful. View is really nice too and had enjoyed it so much. There are indoor and outdoor onsen free to use too. The only downside is the food taste just ok personally. Another add point is that there are lots of beautiful painting all around the hotel!

This seaside town is peaceful and comfortable, with very reasonable prices, making it perfect for a relaxing short stay. The authentic Japanese ryokan and room setup, while personally not entirely my style, is definitely a worthwhile experience.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located, about a 500-600 meter walk from the station. It boasts a beautiful seaside setting, though it's on an embankment rather than a sandy beach. You can walk along the embankment to Benten Island. The hotel was very clean and offered good value for money. Cons: For a Japanese-style hotel, I was surprised there were no welcome refreshments – a first in my experience. The staff seemed a bit indifferent. Breakfast and dinner were merely 'okay.' The onsen facilities were quite simple, with two pools for each gender: one indoor and one open-air. However, the outdoor bath in the women's section was essentially just a large bathtub.

I am a foodie who can take large portion but the portion they offer even beyond my limit which is so nice and beyond my expectation. Imagine with this price and you get this portion of food, it is definitely wroth a 2nd stay. Location is good, just 10-15 mins walking to the station, it is small town, it will the same wherever you stay, they even offer free bicycle with 30mins limitation for you stop by at family marts.

Good stay for overnight. Not much service but the onsen bath was nice and empty.

This is just like a guesthouse you'd find in a third-tier Chinese city!

It was very clean, but the tatami room didn't have a private bathroom.

It's not far from the JR station, making it quite convenient for getting around.

Excellent, full of authentic local charm.
