Camelot by the Sea

Code to get in door didn’t work so had to go to Lobby to get them to let us in a few times. Receptionist had an attitude. The morning one was great but the afternoon lady was very attitudal. Ice machine didn’t work. Place just wasn’t as nice as it was a few years back.

Great place, had medical emergency and wanted to move my reservation out two weeks and there is no compassion or protocol for an emergency. Very disappointed in that.

Check in was super easy room was everything needed for an enjoyable weekend. The ladies at the front desk were also super friendly and helpful the couple of interactions we had with them.

Very nicely kept spot on 4th floor w super convenient same level parking,great seaside view. Need to provide handsoap for bathroom, also utensils lacking spatula for cooking. Had to buy butter and salt/pepper. Advantage of kitchen is lost a bit without adequate accessory items. Would suggest small bottle of olive oil or cooking spray and a few basic spices. Otherwise great choice for the cost vs other MB options. Would stay at Camelot again

The room was great! Very clean room and property. The staff at the hotel was amazing. The water pressure in the shower could have been better but overall it was great. I would definitely stay here again!

THEY HAVE ROACHES, so much that we had to buy Roach Spray!!! We never felt comfortable during our stay!!! There was a leak in the master bathroom that caused the water to be shut off to the toilet. We had to rig it just so the toilet would flush, and the place wouldn't flood. The baseboards were dirty. There was hair in the bathrooms. The carpet was dusty. The bedroom (both) doors were sticking and had to be slammed to close. The indoor pool area was freezing. The doors were broken and could not close, and it exposed you to the outside elements, making it so that you couldn't enjoy the pool because it was cold. The closet doors, laundry room, and the master bedroom were misaligned and easy to come off track. The floor drains in the bottom of the lazy river are a danger to adults. When you have small children who cannot fit in the tubes provided, an adult has to walk with them, the drains can seriously injure someone's toe/feet even with water shoes on. Our previous stay was so much better and we will not be back.

The resort is good. Decent older building. Parking ON SITE ATTACHED up to the 10th floor. As noted I t’s a bit older but kept up ok. Each unit is individually owned and can be rented out, so depending on what unit you get, this can affect your stay. My review is merely on the property itself. They have an indoor “lazy river; however, having been here 3 times already, I’ve never seen the tubes for it. The indoor “jacuzzi/hot tub” is heated sporadically. It’s smaller, rectangular in shape. The indoor pool is also smaller, but a nice addition if inclement weather. The outdoor pool is small compared to the amount of units, but you are beach front… ocean right outside the complex. No street to cross… take the bridge over the dunes and you’re there on the soft sandy beach. That said, every unit is beachfront with ocean view… although lower floors may be obscured/obstructed due to vegetation/trees. The resort offers a kids water area... very small but nice…even has a water fountain/sprinkler like umbrella to play in. A smaller lawn area with 2 hammocks and about 40 chaise loungers. Surrounded by palm trees and a concession stand that has lite bites and alcohol. (Will need to check hours of operations as the prior time we came they were closed but it was 2nd week of October.) There is a restroom also on ground floor so if at beach or lounging in yard area, you have a place to go and not have to head up to your room. The attached parking garage is narrow and you will need to remember to honk or flash lights around each corner (as a courtesy) since other drivers may not remember it is two way traffic, and come around in middle of both lanes. But, going slow and steady, it is safe and convenient. Great for those who bring everything but the kitchen sink for their stay or if you have a family/kids. Easy to load and unload into your unit. Again though, it is only up to the 10th floor, so if you’re on floors 11-19(PH), you’ll have to lug stuff up on elevator. Elevators are ok, 2 on each end. However, when resort is busy you can have a wait time… sometimes 5 minutes or more to get service for this higher floors. Close to the boardwalk and grand strand. Can be busy at times. Especially doing Biker Weeks (mid May and first week of October) and Black Pearl bike weekend (Memorial Day weekend.) Overall this is a nice older place to stay.

Didn’t like much, started with not being able to get in my room because the 10 digit code for door wouldn’t work, had to wait for maintenance which could not open door with the code either, finally had to use his master key to let us in while he work on getting the code to work. After about 20 minutes he was finally able to get it to work.

The ocean view was excellent, rooms are adjacent to parking lot , very inconvenient if you have small kids . The moment you open room door it leads to parking lot . Bathroom is small and in poor condition Not recommending to anyone
