We have stayed here several times while visiting the Myrtle Beach area. It is very conveniently located right off 17 in Murrel's Inlet south away from the tourist swarms, madness and traffic of Myrtle Beach itself. Usual good hot breakfast, friendly staff, pleasant hot tub/spa (outdoors) for afternoon soaking after a day out on the town. Clean rooms, housekeeping every 4th day or by request on long stays. Many area food places close by. The street behind hotel goes to 707 which allows you to get more quickly across the jam packed area. Front driveway off 17 enters only from north so have to go around the block if coming from the south, like Pawley's Island or such. Quiet, peaceful more mature guests. Can't go wrong.

The room had a couple of mold spots on the ceiling, and the floor had some spots where it looked like it had been half mopped. As far as the location goes, it was just right. The only other problem that I had was the breeze way, the parking lot, the elevators were not cleaned, and they had no complimentary breakfast for the guest. Also, it smelt like **** the whole time there, and the pools were always crowded. All and all it was a good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn! The hotel is centrally located for lots of activities including golf, dinners at Market Common, exploring Murrells Inlet and Brookgreen Gardens. It's less than an hour to Pawleys Inlet and Georgetown SC as well. And of course, Myrtle Beach itself is on your doorstep. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Check-in was a breeze. All the hotel amenities were explained to us in detail. Everyone we encountered at the hotel were friendly and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed our interactions with Julian, our breakfast server. The lobby is beautiful - very bright and light, with plenty of seating throughout. The free coffee in the morning is a definite plus. We had a package that included a great hot breakfast to order, but we would have had no hesitation purchasing it separately as the prices were reasonable and the food plentiful. There is also a convenient market area with snacks, beverages, etc. including beer and wine. Our King bedroom was huge and spotlessly clean. Everything was in great working condition such as the TV, mini fridge, and bathroom. The mattress was particularly comfortable! On Day 3, we asked Housekeeping to refresh our towels, empty trash (although we subsequently noticed that there were large recycling and trash cans conveniently located by the ice machine) and they arrived quickly. The room was quiet, with good quality blackout shades, that provided a great environment for a good night's sleep. We would have no hesitation staying here again! Great place to stay in Myrtle Beach. We rented a king bed with ocean view balcony. We were not disappointed with watching the ocean sunrise from our room. Room was spacious with full fridge, freezer, small stovetop and mini dishwasher. The hot breakfast buffet was a nice perk for one less meal to eat out. We did not use the pool for our visit but looked great and would be fun for kids. Its so nice to be on the beach and boardwalk to go walking. I would definitely stay here again or recommend to otherw for the price. I got a great deal on hopper app 2 weeks before hand.

We've been staying at this Hampton for more than 12 years and always enjoyed it. This year there were too many problems to ignore. Check in was very slow, we waited for almost an hour to get checked in, which has never happened before. The elevators need some maintenance. It sounds like there is a lot of sand in the door track and not sure if they were cleaned while we were there. The room we finally got was nice, although the couch needed to be cleaned and the room could be updated. The breakfast was good, the usual Hampton meal. They have 2 areas to serve breakfast since this is a large hotel, however only one area was open so breakfast was very busy. The breakfast employees did a great job of keeping up though. The pool wasn't cleaned the first day we were there which was a Monday so you can imagine how much sand was in it after a busy weekend. Also made me wonder if the water had been tested for cleanliness. The shower area, when you come off the beach, wasn't cleaned for the 4 days we were there, so rinsing your feet off did no good. That's probably why the pools are full of sand. The boardwalk steps are being overwhelmed by the plants from the sand dunes and look to be in disrepair. But probably the most disturbing thing was the dog situation. We really feel Hilton has made a big mistake allowing dogs on all their properties. This property is not set up for dogs to do their ”business.” The only convenient grassy locations are right by the swimming pools and I do mean very close proximity. Anyone that has ever had a dog knows that no matter how well you try to pick up after a dog, many times there is ”residue” left behind, not to mention all the urninating they are doing in the grass. We sat on our balcony and watched dogs using the grass as their bathroom and then watched people walk through the grass and get in the pool. Not a good set up at all! I really hesitated reviewing this year, but felt the hotel really needs to get back to what made them the number one hotel in Myrtle Beach for years. Not sure if we will give them another chance, which is sad because we really loved this hotel!
