Rosewood Munich

Our recent stay at the hotel featured two Deluxe Suites, each over 60 square meters and uniquely laid out with separate living rooms, bedrooms, and dressing areas. The rooms were tastefully decorated with fine details and a well-stocked, chargeable minibar. Notable amenities included custom coffee machines with milk foamer (rare find at hotels) and high-quality Marshall Kilburn sound systems. The suites only had one toilet, but the bathroom towels were plush and luxurious. Additionally, the light and curtain controls scattered around the room and were inconvenient to operate. The hotel's overall service was exceptional, particularly at the front desk and restaurant, with attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere. However, housekeeping was inconsistent, often overlooking details like cleaning used cups and utensils during turndown service. Also, despite requesting room cleaning via WhatsApp, we returned in the evening to find that one of the suite was not serviced. The initial response from the staff was that the room had already been cleaned at 10 am, suggesting potential operational immaturity due to the hotel’s newness. Additionally, there were oversights in room service, such as occasionally forgetting to replace items like cups and towels. The dining experience was excellent, with all meals, especially dinner. Breakfast was also delightful, despite limited options. Situated in the heart of the old town, the hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance of major attractions and luxury shopping streets. In summary, the Munich hotel was impressive in most aspects, making it a top choice for travelers.

Well, where shall I start. Basicly, it is a very good hotel. But often the details make up the exeperience. I enjoyed my stay. There are some issues I that could diminish the experience. Location: Central, close to the train station and bus station. Next shops are about 5 mins. by foot away, next good restaurant about 10 mins. In the early morning you can hear the traffic, the hotel is directly on a main road. So, if someone is sensitive to noise in the night, I cannot recommend a stay there. Cleanliness: Well.... that's an issue. I found some hair in the bathroom. An what I discovered was that apperently the cleaningstuff was to lazy to get off some dust an trash because the put it just unter the furniture that is unter the TV. Sorry, but something like this simply just should not happen! Room: I was happy with the room. It was big and my bed was soft and comfortable. I slept well. What I appreciated very much was that the holder for the bathroom towels was heated. That's pretty cool I encountered something like this the first time in a hotel. TV was OK so was the air condition. Style is typical for never hotels/business hotels. The furniture seemed a bit shabby. Service: the staff was (mostly) fantastic. I got everything I needed and I got it fast. They help you to get every information about the hotel that you need and they were very friendly. What was a bit strange is the fact that all the coworkers there were from spain. I think, one of them spoke german but everybody else english or spanish. So, they could not provide me with some information that I needed about Munich. That's the first time something like this has happened to me in a hotel. Bar: The bar is pretty cool and the drinks are good. A bit expensive but that was OK for such a hotel. Gym and spa: There is a gym and a spa but I had no time to try it. All in all I had a good experience and I would recommend the hotel.

Location for this hotel is truly fantastic; you're within a few minutes of Marienplatz and multiple shopping and dining options. You're also across the street from the Munich Central Station: if you're traveling regionally or leaving Germany by train, this may be the best location for you. HOWEVER... Room upkeep left much to be desired. Minibar items were never replenished in our five night stay, towels were only seldom changed (only folded back into place), sheets were also just folded, not changed, in the entire time we were there. Trash was not even fully taken out: trash cans were emptied, but empty cups or bottles left at the desk or nightstand were not thrown away. While I understand that not everything has to be fully replaced or maybe shouldn't in the name of sustainability, I would expect housekeeping to please take away an empty coffee cup. The bed was comfortable. The pillows offer zero neck support. If that's important to you, you may have trouble sleeping. The shower is right next to the bed and has no privacy, so unless you're comfortable with the person you're staying, you're going to have to step out of the room while your roommate showers. Lighting in the room is rather terrible; in order to get proper lighting, you have to open the window. The lights are too dim to light up the room. At the end of the day, when you are traveling, you're looking forward to returning to your hotel room, and we did not, in this particular case. I can't comment on the other hotel facilities as we did not use them.

Smack in the center of Munich facing the Central Station is not posh, but rather convenient and allows direct access to the shopping mile, theaters, museums, cinemas and - yes - the more refined part of town. Inside the hotel happens to be (not brandnew, but) comfy & cosy & fun. The staff is really, really nice, the atmo is relaxed, happening and young. We felt warm and welcome the whole time. I also loved the bicycle in my room! Brilliant idea! The breakfast buffet is yummy, the prices at the Tel-Aviv-Style restaurant for dinner are reasonable. We slept very well and spent a wonderful weekend. I would come back any time.

Decent location few minutes walk from the train station. It does get pretty loud at night in the area, so bring ear plugs and you’ll be just fine. There are also plenty of chill areas where you can charge your phone and take a rest. I’ll book again when I come back for a visit.

This hotel is in an excellent location, very spacious rooms, we have a group of 17. The free mini bar, replenished daily is a great bonus. Free coffee in reception also. Main train station literally 250 metres away. We didn’t choose to have the breakfast, as at €25 a day per person we were happy to have a coffee local to the hotel. We will come back to Munich, & wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Thomas on reception was outstanding

It's in a quiet street behind the station and the building itself is old and has been renovated - some features still remain, giving it a late 80s feel. Don't try the breakfast, it costs an extra 9 euros, the coffee shop next to the station is enough. The staff are polite, the hotel is clean, and the WiFi works well.

Booked 2 nights here. The location of hotel is very good because it is directly opposite the train station. Reception staff is very friendly and check in and check out was a breeze. We were able to store our luggage before check in at 2pm as our flight arrived quite early in the morning. Our room was not facing the main road, so it is quiet. No issue with cleanliness in room and there is housekeeping staff available. Breakfast is decent and good. Area around the hotel is also safe, not dodgy. Definitely worth the price.

The location is perfect! The service for cleaning the room is below 5 star Marriott-chained hotel standard. The housekeeper forgot to replace towels and just organized the bed a bit, replaced water and left the window opened. After checkout, the receptionist provided bottles of water which is a very nice move.
