Well this was a mixed feast. Ordered garlic bread, 3 plates of Scallops Mornay, 2 grilled whiting, and an American Pork Ribs. Garlic bread all ok and hard to get wrong. The Scallops were excellent!!! Could of eaten another 3 plates. The whiting had two fillets on each plate, well cooked with a serving of chips and salad. Now for the Ribs. Having just had Ribs two nights earlier across the road at the Mulwala Club, they had set the bar very high. Unfortunately these didn’t even come close. The presentation looked good until it came the time to cut them up. Even with a chainsaw it would have be challenging. The ribs were so tough, dry and tasteless. They were over cooked and burnt in many places. I stopped after a few mouthfuls. They simply were not at all pleasant to eat. After the tasty scallops, the ribs were a complete letdown. The other letdown for the venue was the amount of flys inside. Not sure where they were coming from, but they were everywhere in the bistro. Most annoying. Could not see any bug zapper. Staff were pleasant and smiling though.
