Muo Boutique Hotels

The hotel is located towards the end of the busy main street. Thus, it is still very convenient to walk around in the city. Even though it is at the main roadside, it wasn't so noisy at night because lesser vehicle on the road after 9pm. The hotel will provide parking coupon that allow you to park at the open area at the opposite private parking. The Malay lady (sorry I couldn't see her name on the tag) at the check-in counter is very friendly. The hotel will also provide two tea bags to guest as welcome drink, also some local snacks. The tatami room with window is small but good enough for 1 person. Bathroom size is decent. If you don't want to go far, you can just walk across the road near the bus station to get your dinner. The corner shop serves nice mee bandung and a local snack call jemput-jemput.
Tropicana Boutique Hotel

Excellent reception service which was prompt and clear with a ready smile from all staff! Keep it up! Owners of Tropicana, your staff are your frontline greatest assets! Thoughtful touch of complimentary breakfast at Paparich, a life-saver especially on rainy mornings. Miss the welcome drink vouchers though. No instant drinks sachets in room either. The chamber cleaning crew, bed linen and towels need refreshing. Wish the rooms smelt as good as the reception area! Be warned of stairs to climb if travelling with wheeled lagguage or elderlies.
Ppt Muar Hotel

the hotel has 2 wings, the main 3 storey building with your regular rooms with lift access, and the other wing made up of stacked containers. I stayed in the 3rd of the main building & attended a training at the container wing in its meeting room big enough to seat 40 pax classroom style. The training room is at the 2nd floor accessible only by stairs which is quite an inconvenience especially where you have huge baggage to lug on. The down side is that this place do NOT have a dining place and therefore no breakfast provided. My room is clean and come with toiletries, there's hot/cold water dispensers at the lift landing on every floor, very efficient. However, it can be noisy at night especially from the traffic & some bar/pub nearby, which I cannot determine the source of the loud music. There's this place with it's own gated parking lot about 200m from this hotel that house another budget hotel & some restaurants/cafes, therefore food/drinks is not an issue.
Classic Hotel Muar

It is situated in the middle of the town of Muar. The halls are surprisingly big & the room is pleasantly VERY spacious! The comfortable spaciousness of the room would be ideal for a large family esp with small kids. In addition, it has a bath tub!!! That can keep the kids occupied & happy! It can also be heavenly after a long day. The water pressure is also a relief to massage any fatigue away. The bed and pillows are very comfortable (to me) & I had a good night’s sleep. It is very convenient because it is connected to a shopping mall which has a supermarket, fast food chains (Texas Chicken, McDonald’s & Sushi King), Coffee Bean! Large drug stores (Watson & Guardian)And even book stores (Popular & Tanjong Mas) if you forgot to bring a book incase you want a day/night-in instead. My son forgot to pack his toothbrush and hence we just went next door to buy him one. A convenient store (7-Eleven) and clinics are just a short walking distance away. Local cuisine restaurants are also a short walking distance away hence the convenience. On the downside though, Since the mall is beside the hotel, they share the same basement parking. You have to use the staircase to go to the hotel or be Very Patient to wait for the ONE 4 people lift to the ground floor of the mall, then turn left to the entrance of the mall to proceed to the hotel next door. The lobby is also not your typical hotel lobby as well. Upon entering through the glass double door (which shares with a cafe & restaurant so don’t be confused) you will come upon a concierge table (when I arrived no one was present though), there are two lifts, so you need to go to the FIRST floor to the receptionist counter (hotel lobby). I have to warn you earlier, its not a typical proper hotel lobby though, it shares the same area with the hotel cafe😄, so don’t be too shocked. Fortunately, The staff is very friendly and helpful making the checking-in process pleasant. It seems to be quite an old hotel, hence do not expect it to be immaculate and in perfect condition. Depending on where your room is at, do not expect a beautiful scenery of the town (depends on what your definition of ‘beautiful’ is though). Carpet seems to be quite old. You may face some issues with the toilet flush; got me worried about it in the beginning until I got the hang of it. When I entered my room, the bed was not neat and properly made which caused me to raise my eyebrows. Found the note and pencil at the bedside table, probably used by the previous guest. Hence I dare say the house-keeping should be improved or properly trained. There is a limited number of socket plugs, only 3; one at the coffee table, 2 at the desk but even those are supposedly used for the desk and floor lamps. None at the bedside table. Hence, you need to bring your own extension cable or multiple socket plug perhaps. Not really liking the bedside lights as you need to quite struggle to switch it on while lying down on the bed when you wake up in the middle
Inn Home Hotel

The hotel is strategically located, facing the Muar River. The famous New Eastern Restaurant (Hainanese chicken chop) is just around the corner. Basement carpark is available (only 1 lane for enter and exit). A RM50 room deposit is required during check-in. One must bring along the TV and air-conditioner remote controllers together with the deposit receipt during check-out to get his/her deposit fully refundable. The reception counter is located on the first floor of the building. There is a small lift for the guests to go up their rooms. This lift is situated on the ground floor of the building. The guests are required to use their room card to gain access to their room. This is an added security feature. Or else anyone can go up to higher floors in view of the location of the lift. We booked a room for three adults (Triple Room). However, the slippers, bottled water and toothbrush & toothpaste are only provided for 2 persons. The air-conditioned room is spacious. The bathroom is clean and big too. Our room is located on 4th floor. There is a total of 5 floors in the building. Iron and ironing board, and the hot/cold water dispenser are available on our floor. Overall, we had a good night stay in this hotel. We love its location and affordable price.
