The room was unexpectedly clean and cozy, truly showing the host's meticulous care. There was a very, very detailed check-in and usage manual in the room. The host, an elderly gentleman, was very warm and friendly, and proactively offered help. The next day after breakfast, he took us to feed alpacas and sheep and gave us a commentary – one 24-year-old alpaca was so cool! The accommodation is on a quiet farm, about a dozen kilometers outside Dunedin city, but the road is easy to drive. We arrived at 9:30 PM, and the host was still warmly waiting for us at the front desk. Parking was also very convenient. Highly recommended if you're driving! It's a shame we had to hit the road back to Christchurch early the next morning. The manual showed there were many hiking trails nearby to explore. I hope to visit again someday.

Hotel on the mountain, nice view, starry night, tidy and lovely staffs. Meet Mr. Molly and his family (sheep) which are soooo cute. We have a great time here ❤️❤️❤️

Best stay in our trip. The room was cosy and complete with microwave and fridge. Central heating so room was comfortable. We arrived on a rainy evening and not eager to venture out for dinner. The host had stock of frozen dinner packs that we could buy to reheat. He even cooked rice for us. Great dining area. We even made latte using their coffee machine. Lovely time spent chatting with the host like meeting an old friend. The morning feeding of sheep and alpacas made this stay extra personal. Highly recommended.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. Thanks again to John for his hospitality!

A quiet pleasant stay. Nice apartment with outdoor patio.

The room was huge and every care has been taken to ensure you are comfortable. The sofa bed is slatted which means it is like a normal bed. The king bediss amazing, so comfortable. Apart from being on the outskirts of Dunedin (not very far) I could not fault this motel. There is a guest kitchen where you can prepare your own food and then you can join the other guests. The owner was very helpful and could not do enough for us. Would stay again.

One of the best farmstay I have stayed in so far!! John is awesome and thoroughly enjoyed my chat with him. Would definitely visit again! It's exactly as described!

John was very pleasant to welcome us, my girl likes this place very much. A lot of spaces, meet very nice people around the world, also animal feedings in the farm.
