Hotel National Moscow

Moscow|1.47km from Cathedral of Christ the Saviour
I stayed in this hotel for quite some nights due to a business trip to Moscow and this hotel was booked for me by a colleague. Eventhough all team members are very polite, the limitation in English makes it sometimes hard to communicate and I had to go down to reception and concierge several times in order to explain what I needed. The rooms are in dire need of a renovation. The bathrooms feel old and the shower curtains deserve a change - the Elemis branded bathroom amenities were the nicest touch in the bathrooms though. Housekeeping service was rather sloppy and everyday something was sadly forgotten to be exchanged or replaced so I had to call reception, but since they did not understand English over the phone I had to go down in person and explain, that I needed new shampoo or water, as that hasn't been refilled in 2 days. Breakfast had a good selection, but service was poor and it took 20 minutes one morning for my eggs benedict to arrive. (Perhaps they forgot, but I had already finished breakfast at that time). The views from the breakfast room directly onto the Kremlin were lovely and the piano player on Sunday was also a nice touch. The location of the hotel is the best - it is very central to Kremlin and Red Square, as well as the underground mall - all can be reached in very few minutes. We required a couple of taxi rides and the concierge booked them for us - sadly we waited many times for more than 20 minutes in the reception (as per the Concierge the car would be there in 5 minutes) and each day it was another reason why the cars were late (one day the car was broken, another day the car went the wrong route, etc), which would be understandable in a bustling city like Moscow, but we had to go to the Concierge several times and check on updates of the transfers which was rather annoying. During my next visit in Moscow I would not return to this hotel, as I believe there are far better options.

Stop in a one-bedroom deluxe. When you check in, there were no dressers and a set to clean up shoes, although on the website and in the booklet they were declared as services included in the room cost. You had to call the receptor, ask. The waitress came and began to check if there was really no dressing: I looked in the toilet in the closet, although I had already put my things in the closet ... Then I apologized and brought the dressing. But it is clearly not a four-star service. I noticed in the evening that there was no set to clean the shoes to bring it had to call the reception twice. The brushes for clothes were not available, too, had to ask to bring them. There was no teapot in the rooms and there was no cooler on the floors. You can call the lobby bar and ask for a free boiler that is brought in a transparent teapot. But it is very uncomfortable, every time you want to drink tea, call and wait when water is brought. There is no air refrigerator in the toilet, but in the winter in the room is a umbrella that is advertised for sale. In the room on the carpet is a big spot. Of the pluses: Incredibly quiet at night for the center of Moscow. The room I went out not to Ostozhenko, but to Mansurovsky alley. No noise from the street was at all night. I stayed at the hotel for five nights. The cost of accommodation includes a visit to the spa center. The Spa is a wonderful pool with warm water. The sauna is not heated very much, the maximum at me was at the 85s thermometer and that the clutch in the door from bottom and top does not allow close tightly the sauna .... But I don't like when it's very hot. I go to the sauna to warm up, not to evaporate, so I got it all. But it is on the amateur ... Breakfasts are included in the cost of accommodation. Breakfasts at the Tifflis yard restaurant, which is in the same building with the hotel, pass to the restaurant on the inner corridor. About the restaurant will be a separate review. As for breakfast - for those living with a price-based breakfast, it is normal: There is a choice of both cold snacks and hot, big choice of baking, there are fruits: grapes, mandarins, plums, pears, apples. But for those who do not have breakfast in the value, it costs 1 500 rubles! And it is an incredibly high price for choosing from 4 kinds of hot, 2 juices (only apple and orange), kefir and berry yoghurt (no pure yoghurt without sugar), 4 kinds of cheeses and meat cuts. For a lower price in Moscow there is a large selection of Swedish tables at hotels, where on breakfast right at you will fire eggs, there is a larger choice of drinks, including gasified, and every day there is a change of dishes. Here in 5 days only the cake changed, the rest is standard. In general, for the center of Moscow is not bad, but I will not deliver 4 stars. It seems to me exactly that on the floor in four-star hotels there should be a cooler, in the toilet a refrigerator, and on the carpets in the rooms should not be spots. And that in the customer room should wait for everything that is included in the cost, not the customer should call and it is to ask to bring, it is exactly.

Moscow|0.9km from Cathedral of Christ the Saviour
First, it is located in the right heartland, about 20 minutes walk to the Kremlin. The view by the river is beautiful (there is a beautiful church in front of the hotel, then the river, the Church of the Savior of Christ (Chist the Savior cathedral), two of the Stalinist statues of the Seven Sisters (Stalin's 'seven sisters'), and the Moscow Tower at a distant glance (Moskva-city towers); and the infamous Peter I, But it's quite interesting for a short trip.) It's a big American business hotel in terms of size, but lacks personality. Lots of meeting rooms, always one or two meetings are held. The breakfast buffet was amazing and one of the best breakfasts I've ever seen. Of course, the service is nothing to complain about, low-key but very efficient. The quality of the room has changed a lot. My room is large, the facilities are very good, there are stylish furniture, large bay windows, clean and fresh air (most of them are quite good). My friend lives next door to me and his room is an old Soviet house, about a quarter of the size of my room. Not too bad, but definitely not even 3 stars (my room can be set as 5 stars). There are no significant facilities that a five-star hotel should have, such as gyms, swimming pools, etc. Security issues are indeed very special places. There are often Russian officials staying or attending meetings, so you have to go through security. The annoying thing is that there is a security gate and the other doors of the hotel are usually locked. Speaking of: here it is not bad if someone else pays. But if you pay at the store price, you definitely won't get what you want.

Winterfell on Kropotkinskaya

It was in this mini hotel accidental booking was at Winterfell in Bauman, but at the last moment we were informed that our rooms were occupied and sent here. The location is certainly excellent. In the center. opposite the monument to Peter 1. There is a place to walk. But really along the embankment to eat budget nowhere. Of the pluses probably everything. Of the downsides-just a terrible entrance. Horrible scratched walls and stairs that are here to disperse. Inside everything is so small and close. In the mini kitchen, 4 people do not turn around. If 2 people sit at tables, the rest to get around them need to be able to avoid hurting. In the morning at all the tightness. You can only come to the refrigerator if there is free and no one is sitting at the table. It is not possible to roast. Yes and to cook there is simply inconvenient - you will disturb everyone around. The shower rooms are very small and why that is straight filled everything. Clear only in the morning, after cleaning. After 2-3 the hour is already dirty again. A narrow corridor like the labyrinth of the Minotaur. You weren't there wrapped up and you were in a dead end. At the end I didn't like it. Although the hotel in this network had already stopped and the small rooms were ready, but here everything is at the minimum.

The location is super good, go out and turn right a few steps to get the subway station line 1, and then take a few minutes to be the Hunter Mall and Red Square. On the 3rd floor of the Hunter Mall, there is a Chinese restaurant called Longmen. The cooked food is delicious. If you don't want to eat Russian food, go there and eat. There is no kettle in the room, you need to go to the front desk to rent, rent 500 rubles. There is a water dispenser at the elevator on the first floor that you don't want to spend money on.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but the navigation is still very accurate and can be found very smoothly. It is also relatively quiet~ not too far from the Red Square, about half an hour walk ~ a little distance from the subway station. Breakfast is more abundant, self-service form; basic facilities are available, the front desk will speak English. PS: It is the black car that the hotel wants to scream. Although you can't blame the hotel, you have to wake up to everyone. If you need to call the car, it is best to prepare the change~ We went to the train station that morning, the hotel uncle helped to call the car, three More than a hundred people can only choose more than 600 orders. As a result, we don't have so much change. One thousand goes out. The black car driver means that he has no change and is eager to leave. It means no parking~ ask the roadside When people change for a change, the driver looks at the driver and says that there is no change~

Very good location, close to Alba Commercial Street, about 700 meters from Smolensk subway station. It will be a bit hard to start looking for the location of the hotel. The location is opposite a hospital and the backyard of the Russian Federal Reserve Bank. The front desk will be English, there is no difficulty in communicating, the attitude is very good, the little girl is also very polite and beautiful. Very suitable for young travelers
