We went for a hike and to visit the nearby monastery in a cave in the Bucegi Mountains and had lunch at the hotel restaurant, with a view of the snow-covered peaks. Rodney was our waiter and was incredibly kind. He made us feel welcome after a lot of walking. The service was efficient and the food some of the best we have had in Romania. The lamb pastrami is a tasty local specialty, and the orange sauce duck was the perfect blend of crispy on the outside yet tender enough to slice with a butterknife. That’s very difficult to achieve with duck breast! Highly recommend dining here, and the hotel facilities looked great too.

We stayed for a long weekend and felt completely spoiled. The highlight was definitely the spa — very clean, well-designed, and relaxing. The restaurant offered a great mix of Romanian and international dishes, all beautifully presented. The entire experience was five-star, and the location couldn’t be more perfect for nature lovers.

I have traveled the world and stayed in many beautiful places, but Hotel Peștera is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, after driving along the winding serpentine road, you discover a hidden gem surrounded by untouched nature. Every window offers breathtaking views of the mountains or forest, without anything to distract you—just pure, virgin nature. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a warm, elegant atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and thoughtful—you truly feel surrounded by care. Waking up here is magical: you open your eyes to a panoramic mountain view right from your bed. The restaurant menu is excellent, with attention paid to every detail. The spa is the perfect addition, with pools and saunas that make your holiday even more relaxing and pleasurable. There are also great opportunities for hiking nearby, and the Ialomița Monastery (Kloș Monastery) is just a short trip away—both adding to the sense of discovery. This place gave me an unforgettable experience that I can’t wait to share with friends and fellow travelers. I will definitely come back. If you are looking for comfort, nature, and a truly unique stay—this is the place.

Having stayed several times at the initial 4star Pestera Hotel, I can confidently say the New adjacent 5star Hotel is remarkable. The sheer logistics of building something this large and complex at such altitude is admirable. The rooms are spacious and offer sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The food meets the expectations of a 5star establishment, with a balanced variety of traditional and international dishes. The staff is friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The spa and pool areas are especially impressive, combining modern elegance with a serene atmosphere, making it a true luxury retreat.

Hotel Perstera is a true mountain gem, offering elegance, tranquility, and breathtaking views. The rooms are luxurious, the staff attentive, and the restaurant outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised to see several Porsche cars parked outside. The Porsche Bulgaria team was also staying there, adding an exclusive touch to the experience.
