街中の便利な場所にある、割とこじんまりしたホテルですが、働いている方々の声がけも気持ち良く、新しくはありませんが、部屋やアメニティーも申し分なく、良いホテルだと思います。

ホテルもサービスも食事も満足でしたが、一つだけ残念だったのが、バスタオルに明らかに自分の髪の毛ではない髪の毛が何本が付いていた。使用済みのものだったのか？

岩手県庁の真裏に位置する北ホテル。『盛岡の宿応援割』を利用し初めて宿泊しました。地元資本のホテル。建物は古めですが、部屋は改装され過ごしやすかった。エアコンは部屋ごとにあり快適。 朝食は二階のレストランで、ブッフェ形式ではなく、個々に持ってきてくれます。サラダのきゅうり🥒が蝶々🦋に、ちょっとした心遣いが大変気持ちよかった。 コンビニは、ローソン、セブンイレブンが近くにあり、只、繁華街には少々歩きます。

ホテル前にローソンとセブンイレブンが並んで立地しているのでちょっと買い物するには困らない。部屋はベットが半分以上を占める状態だが、一人で泊まれれば十分という人にはリーズナブルでありがたい。

ホテルのたたずまいもロケーションもいいのですが、部屋が「おじさん臭い」。
最初にドアを開けて入った瞬間にムッとにおって鼻が慣れるまでかなり苦痛でした。滞在中、食事に出たり買い物から戻るたびに同じ思いをして残念でした。

趣きのあるウッディなフロント前のホールなど、チェーン展開のビジネスホテルとは違う味わいのあるホテルです。盛岡駅から少し遠く感じましたが、実は盛岡城のすぐそばで、県庁のすぐ裏手にあり近くには風情のある食事処や岩手銀行赤レンガ館もあって街の中心なんですね。また盛岡に来たらぜひ泊まりたいと思います！
