Overall a pleasant enough stay but there are issues here. On the outside there is a lot of unrepaired wear. Things like curbs that are falling apart and other wear spots that create the impression of no attention given to details. My key didn't work one of the exterior doors but I never bothered to get that resolved. The room itself was very clean and presented well, although in my room one of the reading lamps was missing and the other one didn't work at all. The AC unit was actually very quiet in that there were no annoying vibrations or loose pieces that rattled. The addition of the slatted bench seat over it was a nice touch because it could be used to dry out damp clothing. Lots of hot water and pressure. They must be having trouble keeping a full staff because the breakfast area was not up to Marriott's usual standards. When I got there at about 8:30am there were no more scrambled eggs, just some prepackaged quiche thing, and only a little bit of sausage left. The OJ tasted more like lightly flavored orange water, and one of the backlit signs on the machine was missing. There were dirty tables and the floor was a mess and remained that way until breakfast time ended. At no time did I see anyone working the area like you usually do. The number of product selections in the snack area seemed pretty thin as well. Yes there is a pool but it's too small for anything more than two or three strokes.
