Fairfield by Marriott Montreal Downtown

I used to just skim through Montreal whenever I visited, but this time I wanted to stay downtown so I could city-walk without needing a car. I had originally booked through *******, but before my trip, I casually checked Trip.com and found it was over 100 CAD cheaper per room! I was a bit worried at first about booking in North America with Trip.com, but I tried reserving one room, called the hotel to confirm the booking, and once it was confirmed, I quickly canceled my ******* reservation and rebooked through Trip.com. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Université du Québec, with an abundance of dining options nearby. Chinatown and Old Montreal are both about a 10-minute walk away. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel and a metro station a short walk away, though we didn't use it, so I can't speak to its convenience. We mostly walked everywhere for these three days. The room was spacious and clean, and the service was very good. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, the ingredients were fresh, and the quality was by no means sloppy. The best part was how English-friendly it was; even if you don't speak any French, the staff could generally assist you. Overall, it's a great choice.

The hotel is super close to the station, which makes transfers incredibly convenient. Breakfast is included, and it's not too far to the Old Town, about a 10-15 minute walk. The room was quite spacious, and the overall service was good.

Great location, with a direct airport shuttle. All nearby attractions are within walking distance. However, the room's air conditioner was very noisy, and the windows weren't soundproof.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Old Town with convenient transportation. It's clean and tidy, and the housekeeping staff were especially meticulous and thoughtful. The breakfast was plentiful. It was such a good stay that I extended for two more days.

The room was a bit small, but clean. The facilities were complete, though I didn't get to use them. Breakfast was decent.
