3 Star Hotels in Montevideo

We arrived at midnight and had no one to receive, we had to wait in the street until someone came. The garage is not in the hotel, but on a side street. The garden of the garage is very cruel. The room was dirty, with hair tuffs and dust by chaos, and we found a nail in the shirt. The bathroom has not seen a cleaning for a while, there was sabotage used in the bide, near all that breakfast breaks a stick, we had a bad experience that we decided to check out the next morning.

Hotel very well located in the centre of Montevideo. The breakfast is right. The rooms are comfortable. At least in the one I always stay, the water pressure is excellent. The bathroom is a little light, but you just need some coat or slipper.

Hotel with good cost-benefit. It is located in the central region, which has made our walks too easy. The lobby of the hotel is very cool and beautiful. It is an old building and so its lift is small and its door is very noisy. We hosted a triple room in the 5th floor and the room was ”closed” to the lift where the noise of every time the door of the lift was closed, besides having no sound coating and all the movements. The beds were very comfortable and there are TV channels from all countries (including Globo International and Record), air conditioning, safe and fridge. The bathroom is small and there is no place to hang the towels mainly after the bathroom, i.e. there is a need for daily exchange. It can be dispensed with shampoo and shower gel inside the box - which is glass - (conditioner was broken) and dispensed with liquid soap in the washing room. The room was very comfortable, but nothing special (I missed the mosquito eggs, sincerely! I had only cooked eggs!). Wi-Fi was not working inside the room - I don't know if it was because we were on the 5th floor, but we only got connection at the reception (terreo). Very educated and requested officials.

Acomodação que atendeu bem as expectativas, confortável, tranquilo e limpo. Funcionários educados e atenciosos. Ótima localização, perto de vários restaurantes e lanchonetes, lojas, e pontos turísticos. Certamente, é um local que voltaria a me hospedar. Café da manhã também muito bom, simples mas com opções de café, leite, chá, iogurte, suco, pães, bolo, etc.

Every was great: good location, close to everything, excellent top-floor room with terrace with amazing view, comfty bed with multiple pillows, loft style room, safe place - there are some beggars around the property but they are not aggressive, grocery shop in 1 min walk, fast check-in and check-out, perfect cleaning.

The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable. We had booked with a month in advance, confirmed by phone before arrival, everything came perfect until we arrived and did not let my husband and children come in. I wasn't at the hotel yet, but I had already warned that I who made the reservation was coming a little late. Comfortable hotel located in an area within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and parks. Breakfast is free and very good. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is an attached restaurant, the Dakota, open for dinner most nights, also good. Expect to see a lot of meat on the menu just about anywhere in Montevideo.

This hotel was very disappointing for me and my wife. Looking at the pictures and the previous reviews, I really thought we would stay in a great hotel, but the reality was different. We did the reservation for a standard room, the pictures don't show how small they are. The room that they gave us was on the 2nd floor, and the window was direct to a central air conditioning machine (I suppose it is). It's a big machine, terrible view, but also terrible noise. They turn it off at 6:30pm, and turn it on at 08:30am. If you want to sleep in it is impossible, or if you want to take a nap in the afternoon, impossible too. Besides that there is a door in the room, to the next room, it's obviously closed, but you can hear everything from your neighborhood. The bathroom is ok, towels are good and clean. But when you take a shower the floor gets all wet, even with the box close, it's probably some leak. We stayed for four nights, and in two of then the air conditioning was not working. We called the reception and the answer was that they would have to call a technician, to repair it. They fixed, but in the next day it was broken again. Fortunately the weather was not so cold, and it was possible to leave the window opened, but we we had to deal with the noise coming from outside. We asked to change for a better room as soon as we arrived. But the receptionist said the hotel was full, and that in the next day they would have a free room, in a superior category, but it was necessary to pay the difference to the upgrade. We said that we have the gold benefit from **********, and this update would be for free for us. As soon as we told about the benefit, they tell us that we need to wait for the next day and see if the room would be still available, but, of course, it wasn't free anymore. Although the location of the hotel is good, we definitely wouldn't like to stay there anymore.

very good choice in Montevideo, located in a nice area full of shops and restaurants. You can have a very good breakfast, or a very good meal at the bistro bar. The service is very good I will be back !

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it
