My downstairs room? Small. A little dim. Chosen for my sister’s convenience rather than my royal canine standards. But here’s the thing — when hospitality is this generous, the light comes from the people. I ate every meal at their café not out of laziness, but loyalty. Why brave the Arctic for repetitive food when home-style comfort is already waiting with a bowl and a smile? Youran lives up to its name: unforced, gentle, human. It felt less like a hotel and more like visiting relatives who keep refilling your bowl because you look “too thin.” This became the perfect launchpad for my Harbin expedition, three nights of settling in, warming up, and learning that charm travels better than luxury. Now, the honest bone (every good dog buries one): I’d give this a 4.1 stars if decimals existed. Since they don’t, here’s a conditional 5-star — contingent on tighter cleanliness under beds, chairs, and in the toilet. We booked a twin room for 2 adults and 2 children. The owner kindly upgraded us to a slightly larger room. In the evening, my child was hungry and asked the owner's wife if she could cook some dumplings. The owner said the chef had already left. My child then asked if there was instant noodles, and the owner's wife not only gave him a box of instant noodles but also prepared it for him. My child saw coke in the fridge and asked if he could have one. The owner's wife also gave him a bottle. When my child asked how much it cost, she said, 'It's on the house, kid!' It was truly touching. The next morning, seeing that my child hadn't eaten breakfast, I ordered a plate of beef dumplings for him (35 per plate). He loved them and finished the whole plate. He also had two more bottles of coke. I felt really embarrassed and wanted to pay the owner separately for the coke and instant noodles, considering we had three bottles of coke and a box of instant noodles. But the owner's wife insisted on not taking any money. When we left, she even gave each of us a bottle of blueberry drink. They are genuinely good people, so kind and generous. Plus, I had a pile of clothes to wash that evening, and she even helped me wash and hang them. So, I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. If they come to visit this area, I'll definitely recommend Youran Shanju. And the breakfast in the morning was also very generous and delicious. Highly recommended!

The room was clean, the location was great, making it easy to get around. The owners were incredibly warm and generous; they even treated us to huge frozen pears! You can order food right on the first floor, and they gave us free drinks with our meal. All the dishes they recommended were delicious.

The landlady was incredibly warm and chatty! Every evening when we returned, she'd bring us frozen pears and frozen persimmons. They also have their own restaurant downstairs, where the prices are quite reasonable, and the food is delicious. Most importantly, the portions are huge – two dishes are more than enough to fill two people up. The room was clean and tidy, and it was cleaned daily. All the disposable amenities were well-stocked. The wooden cabin itself was very unique, and the soundproofing was good. Plus, the heating was excellent, which was a real lifesaver in such cold weather! 😂

Spur-of-the-moment trip to Mohe while I was recovering. Met the most wonderful landlady and the warmest landlord. I still miss the landlady's sour stuffing dumplings so much! In Mohe, the aurora is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I was so lucky to see it. The guesthouse itself has excellent facilities, and the hygiene is top-notch. The landlady is incredibly welcoming. I came to the coldest place during its coldest period, and yet I received the warmest service.

The owners, especially the landlady, were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, true to the东北 (Dongbei) spirit. Every day, they offered frozen pears and frozen persimmons, and those frozen persimmons were absolutely delicious and sweet! The food here was also quite good and the portions were generous. To top it off, they even gave us two complimentary drinks at the end. Thank you!

Location is great as located walking distance to some attractions at 北极村. Boss also very friendly and recommend places for you to visit and let me try 冻梨 and 冻柿子! Taste is so good! Breakfast is awesome too!

I had a wonderful stay in Youran. The rooms are in wooden but with modern amenities. The owner and wife are very friendly and providing a real great service. Youran also has a restaurant and the owner wife can cook very well. This brings convenient for guests so that do not need to walk out to look for foods under such an extreme low temperature. The location of Youran is convenience and at the center of Beiji Village. Few tourism points can be easily reached out by walk. And you could get a driver to drive you to attractions in Mohe. Youran can help to arrange a trustable and good service driver at a reasonable fee. As for the room, it is spacious, the cleanliness is very good and odorless. The heating system is excellence, I could wear T + short in the room comfortably and the water heater is 24 hours. I will come back to Youran again to experience Mohe different seasons. Highly recommend Youran for travellers plan to visit Mohe!

This booking was super, super, super, beyond all expectations! I'd call it the absolute best hotel in Mohe! The first floor has the guesthouse's own restaurant, and the food was unexpectedly delicious! We ate there for three days straight! We had planned to eat out, but the landlady's cooking was so good that we didn't want to go anywhere else! The room was clean, with 24-hour hot water – it's a water heater, but the water gets incredibly hot. The underfloor heating in the room was super warm, so much so that you might even need to wear a short-sleeved shirt! The owners are really lovely people! And they even gave us frozen persimmons and frozen pears! As a Chinese saying goes, 'Chinese people don't trick Chinese people!' This really is an amazing guesthouse!!! Plus, the location is super convenient, basically right in the center of Beiji Village, very close to all the attractions, just a few minutes' drive away. I'll share a few photos of the guesthouse's food – it was so good it made me want to spin around and crawl on the floor!

Facilities: The heating was excellent! We could comfortably sleep in shorts and t-shirts without shoes in the room. Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy, highly satisfied! Service: The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. They even brought us frozen persimmons and frozen pears; the persimmons were so sweet, highly recommended! I also want to give a special shout-out to our driver. He patiently waited for us to take photos and never rushed us. The restaurants he took us to were also delicious. There were four of us with six suitcases, and he effortlessly carried them all up to our room and then down again when we left. He was truly amazing! Wishing the hotel and the driver great success! 😘

The landlady was exceptionally kind. She provided power banks and a splash water artifact. Her noodles were also delicious. I'll definitely stay there again if I get another chance to visit Mohe.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated between the northernmost post office and Seven Star Park, making it incredibly convenient to get to all the attractions by vehicle. The room was spacious and bright, clean and tidy, and the owner even upgraded our room type. The owner and their family are very hospitable and provide thoughtful service. The hotel has a restaurant, so dining is also very convenient, and the breakfast is rich and tasty. I'm very satisfied, definitely a five-star rating! I recommend fellow travelers to stay and experience it for themselves.

The location is super convenient, right on the main street by the bus station, just a short walk away. The owners are incredibly nice; they even gave us free breakfast, simple but definitely filling. They also have a restaurant where you can order food, and coming back after a day of sightseeing to a hot, delicious meal was just the best feeling ever! 😁
