Bluewaves Resort Moalboal by Hiverooms

Great beachfront location, just a short walk down the beach to White Beach. The place is simple but clean, and the staff are helpful. The only downside is that the restaurant has a limited menu and closes very early. If you want to escape the crowds and relax on a nice beach, this is a good option.

Everything was great, and the photos accurately represent the place. The room was clean, with fresh linens, and excellent hot water pressure (just make sure everything is turned on correctly). The beach was fantastic, and practically deserted. Getting to activities was easy; we either caught a tuk-tuk or arranged transportation through the hotel. The road was a bit rough, but from what we saw, it's pretty much the same everywhere else, even to other beachfront hotels. It didn't affect our stay at all.

The hotel is far from everything, definitely not walkable. But we had a car, so it wasn't an issue for us. The nearest 7-Eleven is a 16-minute drive away. Despite its remote location, the hotel is superb. The bedding is clean and fresh. There's a water cooler. It has its own sandy beach. You can snorkel; we saw a turtle and there are sardines. Lots of different fish. I recommend it to those with their own transportation.

Unfortunately, for the price, the room was terrible. There was absolutely nothing in it besides the bed. No pool, nothing. Not even a glass, and no water either. The location was very strange; you had to walk through someone else's property to get there.

The hotel is basic, but the price is really affordable. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is poor; you have to go outside to get a good signal. There’s no TV. This wasn't an issue for us, though. There's a water cooler with hot and cold water available at all times, as well as coffee and sugar. It has its own beach access. It's a small beach, but it feels almost private :) It's an excellent spot for snorkeling. The coral is beautiful and very close to shore, so you don't have to swim far. You might even spot turtles and sardines. It's a bit far from other cafes, but there's a cafe right on the beach that will gladly cook meat and other dishes for you. We especially liked the pork and beef – just be sure to ask them to make it 'not sweet,' as Filipinos tend to sweeten everything. The phrase 'no sweet' saves the day! Overall, this hotel is great for a short stay.
