Hotels near Kikunotsuyu, Miyakojima

Due to this situation, I was holding down the restaurant in Shigira, but it seems that it was closed, and instead I was told that I would arrange a different shop at a different time, so I asked for a different time, but it is already full That is. The reservation confirmation email came properly, and if it was closed in advance, I think I would have liked to say so by phone or email. Other services were very good! Speaking of force, the humidifier in the room was moldy, so how about this time?

Our experience for the most part was super enjoyable. We rented the ocean view room with a balcony (not the terrace) and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend cashing out a bit and renting the ocean view rooms. They were clean, spacious and well designed. The front staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and you can try a variety of different foods both from Miyakojima/Okinawa as well as other countries. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast twice and new items appeared each day. Our room also came with free passes to the The Shigira Lift Ocean Sky and the Shigira Onsen nearby. They also provide free shuttle busses to the nearby restaurants/facilities in case you didn't rent a car. My one and only complaint was the photos on both Tripadvisor and Google show a pool and the amenities description also mentioned a pool. There is NO pool and I was very disappointed with the false advertisement. I believe the picture was from before it was remodeled and relocated. You do get a free pass to the Shigira Onsen which is 3 minutes away and has a pool, but I feel the description and pictures should have been updated and more accurate. The only reason I didn't give this place a perfect rating. Besides that, a wonderful stay!

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. Looking at the photos, it seems to be quite new, but I didn't expect the Seaview Building to be so old. The front desk staff are not particularly friendly either, their smiles are fake and insincere. I arrived at 12:30 and wanted to put down my luggage and was told that I couldn't. I had to come after 3 o'clock. I saw a Japanese tourist bus that had just arrived. The waiter was obviously very polite. Well, maybe I really don’t like tourists that much. There was originally a female staff member who checked in, but she didn't know English or didn't want to help with registration. Without explaining, she was replaced by another male staff member who didn't understand English very well. He was polite! Breakfast~ But nothing is missing. It’s at this price that I regret staying here. I really made the wrong choice!

It is conveniently located within walking distance from Miyakojima Airport. Although it is small, there is also a pool and it has a feeling of rete. Meals are served for breakfast, but it seems that they are not served every day day and night. The content is mainly Okinawa-like dishes, and the number of items is sufficiently satisfactory. There is a large shopping center within walking distance, and the national chain store is mainly, but the restaurant is also substantial, so you won't have any trouble eating. I think it is a good hotel, including the new and clean facilities and the service of the courteous employees. However, the distance from downtown is quite large, so it is a taxi reliance to take out to the city at night.

お部屋の内装がいいです。ソファーとテーブルがあって広いです。それに部屋全体の色合いが「南国に来た！」と思わせる、気分が上がるいい感じ。 朝ごはんのセルフマグロ漬丼がおいしかったです。ただ、朝ごはん会場はあまり広くないので、ゆっくり食べたかったら、思いっきり時間をずらしたほうがいいかもしれません。 大浴場もゆったりできてよかったです。離島なのにお湯をざぶざぶ使えて申し訳ない。 ホテルの場所は、繁華街（？）から歩いてすぐ。夜もいろいろ散策できて気楽でした。オーシャンビューではないけれど、それを補う部分がたくさんあって、快適でした。

I stayed for 3 nights in a 5th floor Standard Twin room in the Ocean Wing side of the resort. The Ocean Wing has 6 floors, and is older than the Coral Wing, which has 9 stories. While the Coral Wing apparently has wider views, the view from my room was nevertheless spectacular. Given the hotel faces West there’s a great view of the sunset from the ocean-view rooms. I also liked that my Ocean Wing room had wood floors. It was very spacious with 2 very comfortable double beds and a small seating area. The bathroom has shutters that you can open in order to see the view. A nice bonus was the beautiful Okinawa Botanicals bathroom products. While this is not a luxury resort, and the building and facilities are a bit dated, it is very well maintained. The grounds are gorgeous, with beautiful trees and gardens (and a very small golf course). The Yonaha-Maehama Beach on which the resort sits, is perfect - soft white sand and crystal clear water. You can access the beach on the south side of the resort only. There are lots of beach chairs and umbrellas maintained by the resort. I met a few staff who spoke good English, and with the others I had no problems communicating using the iPhone Translate app. The staff are so kind - absolutely every staff will greet you as you go by. I loved the restaurants, especially the barbecue restaurant. Also the buffet breakfast (included, you can also choose traditional Japanese breakfast) was excellent - I loved the fresh lychee and other fruits, omelette bar and espresso machine. I rented an electric-assist bike from the hotel’s beach club (¥1,000/hr) to explore Kurina-Jima, which was tons of fun. it was great having the 24-hour coin laundromat on site (wash ¥200, laundry soap provided). There are coin dryers or there was a full drying rack in the room, which was very convenient. The only thing I didn’t love about this resort was the pool. There’s unfortunately a raised platform that blocks most of the view of the ocean from the pool. I only saw kids and their parents use it during my stay. Fortunately the gorgeous beach is only steps away… Overall I found this resort to be super relaxing and excellent value for the price.

I have traveled to Miyakojima more than 10 times, but since the corona was getting settled, I decided to go to Miyakojima for the first time in a long time. I chose Atol Emerald, which I have stayed several times in the past because there were several restaurants I wanted to go along Pinenagama Beach. It's adjacent to Taira Port, so it's fun to see the boat from the balcony, it's close to the downtown area, you can relax in the pool, and the breakfast is rich in Okinawa color and delicious every day. But this time I had a very bad experience. When I saw a young group like a niece making a fuss about vulgar stories in the elevator or lobby, making a fuss with a group of tattooed out in the pool, and a naked niece at the front desk swearing at the front desk. I reached the conclusion that I can't stay at a hotel where people like anti-company can stay at peace. I'm sorry I loved seeing the harbor from the balcony.

We were quite apprehensive prior to our stay here as the ratings were quite low and some scathing for a Hilton resort hotel that opened about a year ago. There were even some minor hiccups during check-in that confirmed our prior bias to the negative. However, all that changed rather quickly night after night. And to make a long story short, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would stay there without hesitation if we were to return to the beautiful island of Miyakojima. In hind sight, I believe the hotel went through some early growing pains when they opened in June 2023. The island itself, much like other rural areas of Japan, is going through seismic demographic changes, leaving it with a shortage of local workers--most of their employees are either from the main island of Honshu or from overseas. After their initial launch, they seem to have made significant changes ironing out those early wrinkles. And this may always be a work in progress for any establishment for that matter: There were some issues we noticed with the lines for breakfast. Hilton Diamond members are able to make advanced breakfast reservations, whereas non-Diamond members are not thereby having to wait in line for breakfast that can be quite long. The issue here is that there is no separate line for the Diamond members, so when they go to the front to inform of their reservation, those waiting in line think they're cutting in (as they don't know what's going on and they're frustrated with the long lines to begin with) setting the stage for some potential 'fireworks' (angry customers) that actually happened during our stay. My suggestion to alleviate this would be--and I've seen this done at other Hiltons--to have 2 clearly delineated lines with signs: one for Diamond members with reservations, and the other for non-Diamond members. This way the staff doesn't have to keep explaining to the others waiting that some customers have reservations, and, the Diamond members won't feel bad going straight to the front ahead of the others waiting in long lines. Service at every function we experienced was great, we had no issue with the DIY bottling of drinking water, the swimming/walking at beach was fantastic, parking was abundant, and to top it off, we were blessed with favorable weather.

The room was 48 square meters, but it was too crowded to add a small bed for 3 people. There are no commercial facilities and restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is in the Greek Santorini style and very beautiful. The dining is also good, especially the breakfast is very rich.

Avoid at all costs. This hotel is 3 stars at best and charges 5 star rates. The property only benefits from its stunning views and location which is not unique and can be achieved anywhere on Miyako. The mid level room was over $1000 and was nowhere near the quality of the other luxury hotels we have stayed at on our two week honeymoon. All of the reviews that are glowing are surely from guests who do not know what a $1000 hotel experience should be. The service at dinner was unbearably slow nearly 2 hours to deliver 1 soup 1 salad and 1 entree. Water was never filled. Our server was so preoccupied in long conversations with other Japanese guests and tables with loud and disruptive children. Lastly the bed was unbearably hard. I know this is a personal preference but trust me there was something wrong with this bed. A hard foam bed with zero fluffy surface at all equivalent to putting a 1cm foam pad on the floor. You will be much happier staying at the brand new hilton hotel.
