AWON HOTEL MIRISSA
"It was very comfortable to stay in AWON hotel, the room is so clean, the owner was very attentive to what I need, I recommend this place to stay."
Randiya Sea View Hotel
"The room has a sea view, which is great! There is a beach 50 meters away. The sand is very fine and fine."
Triple O Six
"Loved the service and our stay"
Central Beach Inn
"We stayed 2 nights. Room is really small (no more then 10 m2). No space for bags. Shower was liking water constantly. Single use toiletries given not refilled daily cause they do not make the room up. Nice restaurant location but unfriendly staff. We order fresh fish from the beach for dinner. They misunderstood and served us at 17.00!!! We refused it but wanted it paid anyway. I won’t repeat my stay. Nice location on the beach"
Mirissa Beach Inn
"I had a wonderful stay at Mirissa Beach Inn. The hotel is perfectly located very close to the beach, which made my stay even more relaxing. I especially loved the balcony, it was peaceful and a perfect place to enjoy the natural surroundings. The breakfast was absolutely lovely, fresh, and delicious. A special thank you to the owner, who is an incredibly kind, helpful, and caring person. Their hospitality truly made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. I really enjoyed the beautiful nature around the hotel and the calm atmosphere. Thank you so much for the excellent service. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to others."
No 36 Mirissa
"The room was absolutely spotless, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Assisted quite late in the evening with an urgent request. The bathroom facilities were great, especially the shower. Location was perfect for our very early start (5 minutes to the port for whale watching). Couldn't recommend highly enough, absolutely excellent!"
Riverside Cabanas
"Proper boutique joint with stacks of character! The Good Oil: Heaps of colour – peacocks strutting about, monkeys chillin' in the distance. Aircon's a ripper – saved our bacon in the heat. Brekkie (fresh fruit + omelette) was bonza. Absolute legend Danush sorted us a whale-watching tour – bloody tops! The Downsides: Wi-Fi's cactus outside the lobby, prices sting a bit (not exactly cheap as chips). Pool's a bit pokey but sparklin' clean. River view? Yeah... nah. More like a prison vibe through the pool fence mesh. All things considered? Solid 4/5 for the spot. Does the job with flair!"
ZelonCey Villa Mirissa
"Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. Himesh reached out immediately after our booking and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, helping us make the most of our time in Mirissa. Sanjana was always responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful, while Anjana went above and beyond by personally guiding us to Secret Beach and other hidden gems in the area. What makes this place stand out is the genuine warmth of this family-run establishment. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and were treated like family throughout our stay. A special mention goes to their mother, whose delicious homemade breakfast was one of the highlights of our visit. The property itself is spotless, modern, peaceful, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including excellent Starlink internet. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the hospitality is second to none. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mirissa. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future."
NiiRA Mirissa

Highly recommended for anyone visiting"

Mirissa Beach Villa
"Hands down the best place to stay in Mirissa! It felt like a home away from home, can't thank Kasun, Adeel and the rest of the team enough for their exceptional service from the beginning to the end. Super hardworking staff and most importantly, they made each of the guest feel welcomed. The view of course absolutely breathtaking, peaceful nights - what else could one ask for on a vacation. The food AMAZING! the chef definitely cooks with love."
vrihee resort
"We stayed at Vrihee Resort and it exceeded every expectation. Location: Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Kokmaduwa Expressway exit, getting there was quick and effortless. Entrance: We were warmly welcomed by a friendly gentleman at the gate whose big smile set the tone for our stay. There is ample parking and walking through the massive entrance doors reveals a serene landscape of ponds, mini paddy fields, and greenery. Surroundings: The resort is thoughtfully designed to preserve trees and nature, creating a peaceful and immersive environment. Suite: We booked a suite that was comfortable, featuring a cozy bed, generous storage, a fully equipped en-suite bathroom and the highlight? A private plunge pool!!! Food and Service: Dinner was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed a jumbo prawn dish along with Sri Lankan rice and curry. Both absolutely delicious. The team kindly customized the flavors to suit our preferences. Dining takes place beside the main pool in an open-air setting, where you can constantly hear birds and nearby wildlife. Incredibly calming and relaxing. The food continued to impress throughout our stay. Breakfast featured beautifully prepared Sri Lankan dishes tailored to our taste and on their recommendation, we tried the pizza for lunch. Another delightful surprise. Connectivity: Connectivity was excellent thanks to complimentary Starlink service. Team: Manager Donald and his team are outstanding. Their attention to detail and genuine and friendly care ensured our holiday was as enjoyable as possible. For whom? The location is perfect for surfers, with popular surf spots just minutes away and the peaceful setting makes it equally ideal for families, couples, groups of friends or even solo travellers. This is a hidden gem we highly recommend. We will definitely be back."
Emerald Bay Resort Mirissa
"There was no Wi-Fi in the room, and they couldn't fix it after a four-day stay. The pool was dirty, so I didn't want to swim in it. On the plus side, the room was spacious."
Mirissa Gate
"I'm sure this was a nice hotel in it's time, but it shows the management lacks focus to keep up the standard. We expected a lot more for a room prices double of what we had to pay for far better rooms and service. Seeing the staff just sitting around, just meters from garbage lying around on the lawn outside the breakfast area/way to the ocean. The rooms begged for maintenance, even though the view was nice. Note - even though the hotel is just next to the ocean, it's not very suitable for a swim. Basically rock formations. The closest was a natural pond of ocean water gathered just by the hotel. The roof top pool had a good view, and the pool it self looks appealing (sun warmed of course) , but there were no sun umbrellas/parasols. Giving no protection from the sun. There were sunbeds by the pool, wooden - with no pillows or mattrasses. The room had both air-condition and a fan in the ceiling. The fan was so noisy, you couldn't use it during the night. The air-condition worked ok, but nothing more. For this alone I wouldn't rate it only with 1, rather 2, but there where are three things which makes me rate them as low as possible: 1) The only access to the hotel is down a dark alley (it fits for a single car, but so narrow the car on arrival didn't want to drive down it). The ally is over 100m, even though the sign at the entrance says only 65m 2) The hotel is not manned 24/7. During night (until 8am) the hotel is open and unmanned. Allowing anyone to enter. We got this confirmed (written sign in the lobby) when we went on a whale safari early in the morning 3) On departure day I forgot my cap and sunglasses (Ray-Ban) in the room when we checked out. Luckily enough I remembered this before the taxi arrived and asked the reception for the room key again. So that I could pick them up. The receptionist said something to the a young staff member, who rushed up the stairs. I'm not sure if they intended me to wait downstairs or not, but I followed him. I think he tried to outrun me, but I'm tall and fit. So I followed him closely. In the room there were a few more young staff members, which instead of rushing after me with my cap and sunglasses planned to keep them for them selves. They had already adjusted the cap (way too small for me), so that it didn't fit me any more and the sunglasses just magically appeared from one of the staff when I searched for them (they were not on the side where I left them) All in all this could be a great hotel, but our perception is that they're just milking tourists for money for as longs as they can. without putting anything back into the hotel. Breakfast was included, but can at best be called ordinary. It was food. I can't understand those who have rated this hotel with 5. This was by far the worst hotel (of seven) we had on our trip around Sri Lanka and one of the most expensive"
Coastline Mirissa Boutique hotel and spa
Coral Beach Hotel
"Corel Beach Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Mirissa. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered breathtaking ocean views. Waking up to the sound of the waves every morning was an unforgettable experience. A special thank you to Sahan and Rosi, who went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed during my stay. Their kindness and support made a real difference. I highly recommend Corel Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Mirissa."
The Spice House Mirissa
"We stayed in the Spice House and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s in such a beautiful location, set in the original jungle with monkeys, chipmunks and beautiful birds all around. The rooms are very comfortable with amazing views into their gardens and the jungle. The infinity pool was amazing and the room further down the property was very quiet and perfect for couples seeking privacy and their own space. We can’t thank Phil and Wathsala enough for looking after us so well and extending our stay when Emirates cancelled our flight home, they are the perfect hosts. Turtle beach is just a 3 minute walk away and lovely restaurants just along the main street. Would highly recommend staying there, you will not be disappointed. Many thanks to all the staff, who just couldn’t do enough for you. Wishing you both every success in the future. Margaret MacDonald"
Atulya Lake View Mirissa - Resort and Spa
"After the Sinhala New Year, we wanted some quiet time and decided to spend a couple of nights at our favorite resort. This time, an old friend and his wife joined us. I recommended this resort over his first choice, and they were very happy with the decision. They found the place to be quiet, classy, and well-managed, with excellent service. Three of us had professional massages that were pre-arranged by the resort. Next day, the ladies decided to explore the nearby beach towns, and the guys stayed back and enjoyed some relaxed conversations, reminiscing about good old times. The staff made sure we had ice-cold Lion Lager, to fuel our memory banks. I stayed there last November with my uncle and aunt who were visiting from overseas. My uncle, originally from nearby Matara, was really pleased to find such a nice place close to his ancestral home. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for peace and quiet, with beautiful surroundings and excellent service. It’s great for families, groups of friends, or colleagues spend some quality times together. Thanks again to Upatissa and the crew for looking after us so well."
DCanal House
"This homestay is really beautiful. Although it is deep in the alley, the arrangement is very considerate. The front desk can help call a tuk-tuk to go to restaurants near the beach. The whole hotel is right by the canal, with different birds and wild peacocks visiting on the balcony. The facilities and equipment are also new. The only drawback is that it is very close to the canal. If it rains at night, the rain is really loud... and there will be small insects visiting the room. But the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. It is a very good accommodation experience."
Hotel Vacanza
"We stayed here for one night. The hotel is a bit old, but generally clean. The staff were polite. Breakfast was very tasty (omelette, toast, butter and jam, coffee/tea, fruit, pancakes, yogurt). Cons: There were small stains on the pillows, a moldy smell in the bathrooms, and the air conditioning only blew cold air with no temperature control. However, this didn't spoil our stay."
Esprit d'Ici Hotel
"Good stay right opposite the coconut hill and bang on main road.Big property with swimming pool and tons of open space . Though property needs some maintainence but with all greenery around , it provides a very open ambience . Tons of activities to do for kids like pool table , carrom board etc. Thanks to Mr Chatur for making the stay wonderful with all support and guidance. One can catch bus tuk tuk right outside the hotel."
Dream Palace Family Guest House Mirissa
"The room was clean and hygienic."
