Hotels near Prince and Princess in Milan

Stayed at the hotel for two nights. The room was clean and the staff was nice. Also brought a car and used the hotels private parking which was well hidden away from the public, for €35 per night. Located close to the city centre. All in all a good stay!

The location is very good, close to the church and only a few minutes walk from the bus to Ole. Eating is convenient, going out on the pedestrian street, Chinese food, Italian food are all a few minutes away. There is a crocodile and GEOX specialty store on the pedestrian street, which can sell good things. Walk to the church for 15 minutes

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

Nice hostel with a great atmosphere & nice vintage decoration in the common area. Confortable and clean bedrooms & bathrooms. The hostel is also using super modern technology, as you'll need an app on your phone to use the elevator or open your room's door. Ultra warm welcome at the reception, super friendly staff, as I've rarely seen before :) Free welcome drink & great breakfast, cooked on demand. I didn't expect that so it was a nice surprise ! The only negative point I'll write is about the noise, as there was work in progress near the hotel (so not their fault at all...). To sum up : highly recommended place !

I recently stayed in Hotel Milano Castello ( 3 weeks ago) and I feel I must this nightmare of an experience. I booked this room fairly last minute and because of it was charged a ridiculous amount (paying 400+) for a hotel room that contained cheap paper-thin towels, little to no bedding, in an all-white room that looked something like holding cell. Nevertheless, this is not why I am writing the review. Apart from the fact that I was being ridiculously ripped off, I want to talk about how the hotel manager kicked me and my boyfriend out of the hotel at 4 in the morning, and tried to force his way into our hotel room (to do honestly I can't imagine what). On July, 29, 2022 we returned to the hotel at around 10 pm sitting in the lobby exchanging quiet conversation about our trip to Milan. Next thing we know the night concierge approaches us, almost seething demanding we explain if we had taken anything from the supply room?? My boyfriend and I looked at each other and then him, dumbfounded as to what in the world he's talking about. He starts trying to follow us to our room, trying to snatch our hotel key away, all the while but of us are trying to explain there must be a miss understanding, as we had nothing to do with missing hotel property–– we found out later another guest had stolen alcohol from the bar. He tried forcing his way into our room, to which my boyfriend objected, screaming at us ”Go f*** yourselves” completely unprovoked. Genuinely seemed as if this man was having a mental breakdown and we happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He then tells us he's going to turn off the electricity in our room if we didn't leave within 30 minutes. At this point, its almost 2 in the morning and both of us have nowhere to go having assumed we would be staying in our reserved room. The concierge then tries charging us for non-existent items from the mini-bar which we hadn't consumed, and after 20 minutes of back and forth he decides he's not going to charge us for fake charges (what a relief?). After physically pushing us out of the hotel, insisting we must find somewhere else despite having already paid for this night at the hotel. I have never been reimbursed, never been contacted despite having attempted to contact them. In short, I can't believe a hotel with this reputation would allow a person as insane as this (flip-flop wearing) night manager to be apart of their staff.

Expensive is really expensive, inch of land, very close to duomo, very close to cardona train station, the location is really good, the service is very good, the room is a bit small, it is quite comfortable to live

There are only 10 rooms in the hotel - a room and a suite on each floor - we had a suite on Level 3. I chose this hotel as I wanted to feel like I was in Italy, not in a modern hotel that could be anywhere and this certainly fit the bill. Our suite was very spacious - with an entry area and a large bathroom off that and then the bedroom which is at the front of the hotel. It's rather sp****ly furnished but what is in there is just lovely. The breakfasts are fantastic and all done a la carte. The breakfasts are actually done in the adjoining restaurant (but there's a door through from the hotel) and we found the staff very accommodating to what we wanted to order - even for my gluten-free requirements. The location is perfect for exploring the key sites of Milan inc. the Duomo and also close to restaurants and bars. There is a rooftop area but to be honest it wasn't that great and we didn't use it. Apparently the restaurant uses it in the evening and charges 20 Euro for a drink and snack there - except on a Sunday when they don't operate so using the terrace is free. But we much preferred to be out in the many cafes nearby rather than the rooftop! It was very clean and the room had a very comfortable bed! The hotel has limited amenities being very small but overall I think it was fantastic value for money and we'd stay here again.

Apart from the noisy construction work right at the front door, there is nobody to assist with arrival, luggage, and no concierge either. Only ever one person on the front desk and not very happy either! A taxi will drop you on the road out front and then it’s up to you. Booked a Junior Suite for over €300 and it just was not up to standard. Lousy plumbing (not new to old Italian buildings), noisy, dull with lots of confusing light switches, air-con that sounds like a jumbo jet, and no tissues in bathrooms. So does that sound 5 Star? This hotel must have had some prestige back in the day but it would struggle to make a 3 Star ranking today. Location is not good either. Surrounded by graffiti and dirty looking buildings. A decent walk to Duomo, allow at least 15 minutes and very difficult to access Milano Central Station: at least 30 minutes and €30 in a taxi as the traffic is terrible with all the roadworks. Hotel location wise was near to Milan city but the train interval was not that frequent. Hotel room was clean (except bathroom curtain) but lacking of many things such as complimentary drinking water.

The hotel is well situated for access to the centre of Milan. The nearest Metro station is just 10 minutes walk away. On the positive side, the hotel is very clean, our room was very clean and was serviced and new towels provided daily. The bed was very comfortable. However, the hotel is dated and looks tired. The bar is large, empty and lacks atmosphere. The only food served at the hotel (other than breakfast) is mostly frozen. Breakfasts are OK but by 9am, quite depleted and we had to ask for certain items to be replenished. Staff are friendly but seem to be indifferent to the challenges. The exception was the bar staff (Chritiano), who was extremely helpful and provided good advice on where to eat etc. From our experience of other hotels we have stayed in, we are surprised at the 4 star rating. My advice would be to use the hotel as a base but stay in town for all social activities.
