Apart from the noisy construction work right at the front door, there is nobody to assist with arrival, luggage, and no concierge either. Only ever one person on the front desk and not very happy either! A taxi will drop you on the road out front and then it’s up to you. Booked a Junior Suite for over €300 and it just was not up to standard. Lousy plumbing (not new to old Italian buildings), noisy, dull with lots of confusing light switches, air-con that sounds like a jumbo jet, and no tissues in bathrooms. So does that sound 5 Star? This hotel must have had some prestige back in the day but it would struggle to make a 3 Star ranking today. Location is not good either. Surrounded by graffiti and dirty looking buildings. A decent walk to Duomo, allow at least 15 minutes and very difficult to access Milano Central Station: at least 30 minutes and €30 in a taxi as the traffic is terrible with all the roadworks. Check out some more up to date pics! And stay elsewhere.

A wonderful 5 star hotel. I can't say enough about this hotel. It was unpretentious and wonderful. The device is top notch. Every member of the staff is unbelievably helpful. Gabrielle who manages the front desk in the late afternoon/ evening was particularly helpful. The rooms are great as are the bathrooms. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel in Milan that not overly done with fashionistas this is the place.

The service of the hotel is invincible, much better than traditional high-end luxury hotels. There are only a dozen rooms in the hotel, and the service is one-to-one. The rooms are large, especially suitable for a family. The biggest highlight of the hotel is the invincible view, the most beautiful view of Milan is right in front of your eyes. The breakfast is very good. Ctrip does not include breakfast and the direct restaurant bill is 48 euros per person. It is very good, and the service is very considerate. Since I got up late, the waiter told me to eat slowly. It doesn't matter if we charge after you finish eating. It's really sweet.

Great location — close but just far enough from the Duomo and relevant subway stops to make getting around Milan easy and quick. The staff was so friendly and helpful and clearly had our safety in mind. The room was right below the lively rooftop bar with a great view of the city. The room itself was small but perfect for me, my husband, and young adult son. The rooftop bar was fun and felt so glamorous, too! Their menu was on also topnotch, a great place to enjoy aperitivo and enjoy the nightfall sky. You could hear the slight thump of music from our rooms, but that didn’t bother us at all. The gentleman at the front desk was also so kind and helpful with all our questions from money exchange to metro stops to restaurant recommendations and even fashion advice!

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in a convenient location to the main attractions and amenities of Milan, a 5 minute walk in a safe location. The hotel is known for its' business travelers which is how we knew of the hotel from my husband's previous stays. It is clean and well appointed with a spacious lobby, restaurant and bar along with a large dining room on the lower level serving their breakfast buffet. The room was large,comfortable with an additional small sofa which was also a pull out bed. Multiple charges available. The bathroom was well outfitted with great fluffy towels. Generous breakfast buffet offered hot and cold items with a varied selection, even offering Proseco for those who wanted to make mimosas. Staff at the desk gracious and accommodating to questions and requests. Efficient in arranging our car transportation to the airport on departure.

If only we had been made aware of that fact, in the hotel documentation and website, we might have requested tickets months in advance, when we made the hotel reservation. A missed opportunity. The initial reception interaction was truly welcoming and the room itself was adequate. We could not get the AC fan to come on during our entire stay. The curtains in the bathroom were see thru. Bare walls without any type of artwork was a rather unpleasant surprise. A couple of paintings, prints, posters, or photographs would have made the room a lot more welcoming. Breakfast was also barely adequate, nothing to write home about, but just the basics. The hot chocolate was watery and not even at the level of a Nestle hot cacao pouch. Had to request room service one day after departing the room in the early morning and placing the request for service on the door knob, and returning in the late afternoon without the room being made. The clerk at the reception wanted to make excuses about the maids making up rooms for new arrivals ahead of others, but that did not make any sense at 4:00 pm in the afternoon after we had been out all day. Overall, considering the nightly rates, not recommended. Also, very limited places to eat in the neighborhood.

The hotel in itself has a 24/7 reception service, it's quite old and would benefit from a refurbishment. I stayed for 4 nights at a single room, which was as expected from a 3-star hotel, with a comfortable bed, and although the room size was adequate for 1 person, the bathroom was offered very little space with a tiny shower. Although it was during the busy season, I found that the hotel was quite overpriced (180 euros/night when I booked it) for the services they afford.

The balcony of the room is very good. It would be better if two people were together. You can sit and chat and see the street view. Then every day someone will come to clean, the quilt looks quite clean, pay attention to their toilet next to a small similar wash basin, that is used to wash pg, but most of us do not have this habit. The hotel traffic is quite convenient. There are 10 trams at the 100-meter turn. You can take the M1 subway for more than 600 meters. It is recommended that you buy the 3-day pass if you play for a few days, which is more cost-effective (I often do the wrong station 😂). Then there are many restaurants nearby. It takes a few steps to get there. I feel very rich in the hotel's breakfast. I have a lot of snacks, yogurt and fruit. Praise! . Don't worry about playing, Milan is very small, half an hour of public transportation can basically reach most attractions. Basically, to be honest, the Milan hotel is quite expensive, and you have to pay a 4 euro/day tax when you check out, but the front desk service is very good, and you will have a little English and say hello.

We stayed for a week end (one night) at Mercure Milano Solari. We chose this hotel because of its location near the Navigli district and we were absolutely delighted with the location. Naviglis are within walking distance which make the hotel great for going out for dinner, drinks or just a wander around this beautiful area of Milan. We also walked up to the Duomo which was nice. The staff at Mercure Milano Solari should be commended for their high level of professionalism and their efficiency. More importantly we could not help notice how nice and smiley each of the staff members were. We were made very welcome and the hotel felt really like home for us for the entirety of our -short- stay. The hotel is very modern and the design elegant and stylish (we find the main hotel picture - although correct - quite misleading in this respect!). The room was very comfortable, the bed was perfect and the bathroom really bright and modern. The breakfast was really nice, with fresh products (apart maybe from the fruit juices that were not the greatest). We asked to have our car parked and this was very kindly arranged (at a price, but we have of course no issue with this) by the reception staff (with a smile!). We were able to leave our car just outside the hotel and it was valet parked for us and returned upon our check out. Cherry on the pie the valet parking can arrange an electric charge overnight for the car which was great for us as we travel on a full electric car. We asked for a late check out which was very kindly granted (with a smile, as everything else) and really appreciated. I am an ACCOR hotels gold member, and my status was recognized and a special welcome note and welcome gift was waiting for us in the room. This contributed to make our stay at Mercure Milano Solare unforgettable. Overall a great stay, we would happily come again and we definitely recommend this hotel and its amazing staff.
