Friendly and helpful staff, structure dating back a few years in terms of architecture, bed mattress a little stiff.
I recommend it because overall it reflects the description.
Very close to the Porta Genova metro and tram stop, as well as the famous Navigli.

Other than the title issue and a really finicky hot water tap in the shower, possibly possessed by evil spirits, the hotel was adequate. Room pictures were accurate, room was clean, bed was clean and comfortable and the Wifi strong and consistent. The breakfast was acceptable and the espresso on point. Staff approachable and helpful. Good sized in room safe. The weekend noise issue is a real deal breaker. The floor is a hard tile material with gaps in between the tiles so the the rolling luggage make both a jackhammer and a skateboard noise, both with a superimposed echo. The door sill does not seal to the floor so even with towels stuffed under the door was not very effective. Then the guest across the hall like to party with others and had the TV blasting. Management responded, things improved for about thirty minutes and then the sound level got really bad as if to punish those who complained. Weeknight noise levels were more tolerable but I was awoken from sleep by the luggage noise on the tiles and gaps.

We've visited Milan on several occasions to watch Inter at the San Siro. We chose this hotel as it was close to the metro, close to the nightlife by the canals and had twin rooms. The hotel needs updating as rooms are tired but on the plus side the room was clean with fresh towels changed daily. The reception staff were so helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was absolutely fine and the room tables were kept clean. Would stay here again!

Hotel Minerva was affordable and in a great location. We knew it wasn’t going to be a super fancy hotel, but we wanted something affordable and in a good area. The subway is literally right next door which made getting places around Milan so easy! We always felt safe at Hotel Minerva and in this area. The breakfast in the morning was good (7am-10am) and the staff was friendly and helpful. For what we paid, we were happy with our experience!

Old, dirty, tired and in need of serious update. Door to bathroom and shower barely shut, metro line right nearby which was noisy. Wouldn’t recommend other than somewhere to sleep for the night, close to subway and train station, and cheap.

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. In another country it would be a hostel, the category is very inflated. The breakfast preserved with the microwave lids. Full of dirt, old and broken and with unrestored qualities from the 70s. Avoid it at all costs. The only “good” thing is the views of the street.

I stayed with my husband in this hotel, strategic location. The receptionist on the phone was very rude. But upon our arrival and during check in she was kinder. The hotel is not excellent but you sleep well, it is clean (not very clean) and finally the breakfast is acceptable. For those like us who were passing through and looking for a hotel in the Navigli area, it was ideal.

It's a shame that the owners don't understand that a hotel in those conditions is simply unpresentable. Sin!! Good location. But the rooms are in terrible condition and the furniture is falling apart. Not recommended!!! I hope that the owner company puts a hand on its conscience and above all one on its wallet

Good location, more or less helpful staff, decent breakfast, but the hotel is in pitiful condition, battered and poorly functioning, I found the bed infested with ants, maybe I say maybe, only if it were classified with one star would it be justified

Execrable welcome by a cantankerous and unpleasant receptionist as possible. Very dirty rooms, smell of septic tank throughout the establishment. Breakfast served without a smile or flavor. In short, nothing to keep. When you arrive in front of this establishment, one piece of advice: run away!

Vacationed in Milan from December 26, 2022 to January 3, 2023. I chose the Minerva Hotel by chance and I don’t regret it one bit. I stayed in room 28. The people who work at this hotel are wonderful. And for me this matters more than external pathos. I had a fairly cozy room and it had everything I needed; good bed, comfortable mattress, clean linen, gel shampoo, soap, hair dryer, safe....there are no questions at all about cleaning the room. The girl with huge eyes who greeted me on the day of my arrival, I wish you personally good luck in the new year, may all your wishes come true... I hope my Christmas lantern will illuminate your home with light. The hotel itself is in a good location, you can calmly walk in the evening...

Being in a strategic position in Milan allows the Minerva to fail in many common sense rules and also have prices that are not adequate for the conditions of the structure! The proximity to the canals, the Porta Genova train and metro station and the taxi rank win over everything else!
