Lowerfield House

Ended up here purely by chance. We were travelling back up to the Midlands from Cornwall, and wanted to break the journey up. Pretty well every room in Devon was booked up, but we managed to stumble upon this place. The owners were very friendly. The room was massive and ample parking. A comfortable bed, warm shower, and great breakfast. The lady took us to see the alpacas in the morning, which was a nice touch, as she didn't need to do this. The pub at the top of the village is very good, and less than 10 mins walk. Thoroughly recommend.

Great B&B, we were in a room with a shared bathroom, but we believe there were also rooms with a bathroom included within the room. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean and so was the house. The owners were very friendly and the breakfast is amazing, very very delicious. It has private parking and right in front there is public parking where you can park for free from 6pm to 11am. It is located in the center of town, a 5-minute walk from any of the restaurants.

Me and mum stayed 13-17.10.23 on an Angela coach holiday trip. I Had read the reviews and was, to say the least, a bit worried but will always wait to see for myself. I’m not sure why people have put such negative reviews. We had tea and coffee on arrival, our rooms were ready and me and mum had a large room ( room 90 ) with heated towel rail and heating as it got a bit chilly.Tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits. Our luggage was taken to our rooms and collected on leaving. Everyone from reception to housekeeping to restaurant were friendly. We had 1 towel missing and tea bags from our room which was collected after dinner no trouble at all. The food from evening meals to breakfast was excellent. A special thank you to Carol ( apologies if name wrong ) who looked after mum with her gluten free diet and also bought toast in the morning without being asked and mum was very delighted with this special touch. Thank you. Don’t judge a place just on reviews, yes some people may have a different experience, but this is individuals jobs and look to make our stays as enjoyable as possible and respond to queries. Thank you to all the staff at Tiverton hotel.
