Usually when I come to South Beach it’s the same. I usually go to the crowded side. But this time me in my daughters decided to try something different, So we decided to walk towards the other direction, in which we came upon the Balfour Hotel. Notice They have a restaurant call Mehzcla, So we decided to stop & look at the menu. In we sat an ate, the food was great. But overall the best experience was the customer service . Which we met the manager Jamal he gave the most phenomenal service. You can tell Jamal takes pride in his service, I would most definitely be back. He provided my girls with many options, we notice they don’t have a kids menu in I applaud him for his patience, we will most definitely be back.

Good hotel and great location. Right across the beach. Hotel staff is good. All amenities avaliable. They charge resort fees for use of amenities even if you do not use.

We booked an oceanfront room and got a view that looks directly at the other building/ roof (see pics) and a balcony covered in water at all times, since the drains are in the wrong place. Complained about it and were told we’d be moved to a true ocean view the next day. The next day we were told these are getting renovated and will not be available. We were offered a switch to a garden view (which is a cheaper room). We were NOT offered an upgrade, refund or anything other than ‘sorry’. Do not pay for an oceanfront suite at this place - it will not buy you a view - just headaches. There are many other hotels (some right next door ) that will get you a better value. Also, watch you card for overcharges - ours got a charge much larger than the bill and I’ll have to spend even more time on our vacation dealing with it.

My 10 year old son and I loved everything about this hotel experience. Lester at the bar and Ali and Fabiola at front desk were wonderful (and others whose names I can't remember!). Everyone provided the best service and attention. Restaurant was pricey (typical for the area) but delicious, pool perfect temp and never crowded, and room clean and serviced daily. I just loved the vibe of everyone and their attentiveness. Next door is a great market with tasty deli. Beach is just a block away, and is very quiet at night even though we went during spring break. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and am telling everyone about it!
