City Express by Marriott Ciudad de Mexico Alameda

Great location, clean, no frills but has everything you need, even an iron. The breakfast was really, really good, and the staff was super friendly.

Front desk service: Very good. We arrived at the hotel around 7 AM that morning, exhausted from our journey, and hoped they'd have an available room for early check-in. We ended up checking in at 11 AM. Facilities: In our room, the hot water in the shower only ran cold at first; it took about 30 minutes for hot water to come out. Plus, the drainage system was clogged and needed to be fixed. The air conditioning didn't work for both nights we were there, but thankfully, the weather wasn't too hot. The hotel did provide a fan, but it was incredibly noisy. All in all, the facilities were really mediocre!!!

Overall, I'm satisfied. The service was great; Mexicans are very warm and the weather was lovely. The surrounding amenities were also good. I was on a business trip and didn't have time to explore, so a quiet and clean environment was all I needed. It's cheaper to book on Trip.com.

Great location. Friendly staff. The cleanliness could be improved (we found ants in the room and bathroom). The room was very small. The buffet breakfast is served in the ground floor room where it was very cold. I asked if I could have scrambled eggs without ham (they were made for the buffet with ham), and I was told I would have to pay extra.
