We booked a 6 night stay for a vacation in CDMX and had a horrible time at this hotel. There is no privacy - the windows open up to the lobby/guest areas, and also can see into another room if the blinds are raised. Our bathroom was connected to another bathroom through a balcony! So you had to keep it locked at all times. There was no air conditioning - our room was typically 10-20 degrees hotter than outside - if you opened the windows/ bathroom balcony door for air - you hear the lobby sounds and lights, making it hard to sleep and have to fear someone coming in from the other room. So physically the rooms aren't setup to meet basic hotel standards. The service wasn't great either. Room has opened containers in the refrigerator when we got here. The safe didn't work - didn't have batteries. The only fan in the room had a water cooling feature - but when you turned it on, gross black water came out - looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We asked for an iron - and they brought one but no ironing board.  We ultimately booked another hotel after one night - and they were only willing to give us a one night refund.

After a week of sightseeing in Mexico City we needed a day to relax and recuperate. We found this beautifully designed Zen boutique hotel that offered massage and a day pass to soak on a rooftop Onsen. Our massage therapists were very skillful and professional. Afterwards, hot tub soak with oils and herbs. Our masseuses brought endless hot tea, yummy sushi for lunch. Our time there felt like a sweet trip to another place, out of time. A memorable experience

its an interesting idea that just doesn't work. Japanese zen managed by non Japanese. there is no common area other than the general area where the entire staff hangs out all day 24/7. it also serves as an echo chamber. regardless of how beautiful the weather is, the breakfast area, only place to be beside your room, gets no air or breezeways whatsoever as it is entirely closed in. when I arrived my room had no toilet paper, a rather basic service for most hotels. no water bottles or easy access to.. apparently the owners are fascinated with high tech, as all window shades light doors function only with it. cute but not functional if you don't share their interest in all things tech. the staff seem like very nice people btw. if you leave the building you cant get back in unless one of them buzzes you in. use this hotel only as a last resort. way overpriced for the what they provide.

Ryo Kan came as a delightful surprise via a hotel booking app. I'd been expecting to stay elsewhere and booked a room at the last minute for 2 nights. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and immediately got my key even though I arrived 1.5 hours before regular check in. I didn't opt to spend time in their adoreable rooftop jacuzzi/onsen, but i was able to book a massage and it was excellent (not too soft, not too hard, a cut above alot of massages I've gotten in past). Everything in the room is automated via touchscreen, which isn't nearly as impractical as it sounds and is actually quite fun! They were very accommodating overall and my stay was excellent. My only minor complaint would be the water pressure, but this is very often the case in mexico city! A really nice, restful stay.

Amazing hotel—I will definitely be back! Complementary breakfast, comfortable beds, and tasteful interiors made this a very enjoyable stay. Eric, Alejandra, and Jorge made my stay very comfortable. Thank you all

This hotel is far away from being relaxing... I call several times before the check-in to confirm my room (suite with bathtub), never answered. When arrived, they didn't have my reservation from ***********... before giving me the room they try to charge me a higher cost than a suite, luckily for me, the credit card terminal didn´t work those days. But the room provided was a regular one... I accepted to spend the night in the regular room and they offered me a small discount due to all the trouble with my reservation and the 1 hour waiting for my room. The beds were comfy and the amenities are ok. Except for the breakfast which was just small pieces of fruit. When I checked out, the credit card terminal issue was still there (my card worked in other places), and the receptionist was not friendly at all or supportive to find another solution... so I offer to make a bank transfer and requested the data for that. They gave me the total amount and the bank account.. and ready the check-out.... but after the half-hour that I leave the hotel, they called me requesting an extra amount of money because they forgot to put the taxes on the total... really? I do not recommend this hotel at all, they look like a nice modern global hotel... but the service is from the 90s with no trained staff, no parking lot, or A/C.

This hotel has an exceptionally welcoming and attentive staff, in addition to a minimalistic elegance that provides immediate ease and relaxation. Centrally located for walking or a quick ride to your favorite museum or restaurant. Love the nearby Japanese dining option too!

Went with a group of girls for a day pass, facials, and massages. The onsen was so relaxing and fun, especially with the included sushi and the bottle of champagne we added. The tea was delicious, and the facial products were to die for. I didn’t get a massage but the girls loved that too. I’d recommend a day here very highly!

I had a wonderful stay at this zen and relaxing hotel in the heart of Mexico City. The Japanese-inspired design was lovely, and I really enjoyed the rooftop onsen and the beautiful lobby. My room was on the smaller side but had everything I needed :) the bed was comfy too. I would definitely stay here again!
