This beautiful hotel is its own lil micro-environment, an oasis in the middle of Mérida's Centro. It was a haven on the 100-degree days I experienced while visiting the city in April. The rooms are impeccable, the staff is so friendly, and the greenery is so immersive. The hotel's owners are so hospitable and go out of their way to care for their guests. Already counting down the days until I can return here!

We had a great stay at The Tree House. It is a serene & shaded refuge right in the heart of Merida that even has a small plunge pool. The location is perfect with easy access to some excellent restaurants and shopping. Loved the eco-conscious layout of this boutique with outdoor wooden decks built around all the existing trees. They make their own high-end herbal shampoo, conditioner and body wash and employ ceramic containers for them instead of plastic- a nice touch. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and spotless with garden views and shades that allowed us to sleep in late. Colorful tiles in the bathroom and modern wood furnishings made for an uplifting décor. Wonderful shower, too. Check out the neighboring Pan & Kof.fee for the best coffee in Merida- and we tried lots of places. Am still dreaming of their take on the avo toast. The owner / staff were all professional and helpful throughout with good dining reco’s, etc. Definitely will be coming back to this little gem.

The hotel is beautifully designed, the rooms are well-appointed, the staff is wonderful, and the pool was divine. We're already planning our return trip. The hotel is also central to everything a traveler would want to see/do in Merida and the hotel staff had great recommendations. And, don't miss out on the coffee shop next door. The pastries and coffee are some of the best you will find in the city.

The rooms at this hotel are superb. There is definitely attention paid to aesthetics and harmony. The place is quiet and is inviting to rest. At the same time, it is only a few steps away from very good restaurants. Being able to take a walk to dinner is undeniably enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We landed late at night in Mérida and Sunita had contacted us when we still were at the airport to find out if we would like her team to prepare sandwiches for us. We highly appreciate this attention. Also, the staff helped us booking cars and drivers for visits to Uxmal, Chichen Itzá and the cenotes. The drivers were of exemplary courtesy and the rates are quite reasonable. There are points once enhanced will make this hotel wonderful. It is currently not possible to rest at the swimming pool. There are no lounge chairs around the pool. Also, the breakfast which is included in the room is rather thin. We wanted to take eggs or coffee other filter coffee, we were informed that this will be at additional cost. We have traveled through México more than once and elsewhere, for comparable room rates, espresso and eggs are part of the breakfast included in the rate. Also, it would be highly preferable for each room to have an iron machine. The hotel does offer an ironing service. We much prefer to iron our own clothes, which we do at all other hotels in México.

What a stroke of luck to have booked this lovely place. A perfect retreat of shady coolness to come and go from when exploring Merida. You can feel the oxygen from all the plants! The linens and beds and everything else are of the highest quality. The design is a blend of traditional and modern, with a vibe that is welcoming but still super clean and airy. The staff is fantastic and knowledgable and there for you when you need them. There are great restaurants all around, plus a cute little cafe right next door. Really could not have been luckier on our first trip to Merida. We will be back!

Great boutique hotel located in Centro. Though steps from restaurants and museums once you pass through the front door you enter a garden compound that feels private and secluded. The public spaces are well designed with an open plan. The decor is contemporary with artisan accents. The rooms are very comfortable. Staff are helpful and gracious. Two doors down is a coffee shop, also owned and operated by Treehouse with excellent coffee, croissants and cinnamon rolls.

TreeHouse Hotel is a dream. After a looonnnng day of travel (flight, rental car fiasco, interminable drive) it was a pleasure to arrive here and be warmly greeted by Sunita and staff. As you walk through the door it's like entering the Secret Garden. You would never guess that behind the plain stucco walls of this nondescript street lies an oasis of trees, pools, beautiful furnishings and tiles, and a cool breeze. What a haven. The room was absolutely perfect - huge comfortable king bed, tons of storage space, wooden shutters that opened out to a balcony overlooking the courtyard, plush robes. The hotel would be at home in the pages of Architectural Digest. It was tempting to spend the whole day enjoying this space! The staff were friendly and helpful, and asked if they could assist with anything. On our final morning, they packed us a small bag with some snacks for the road and a sweet handwritten note that made us smile. Sunita has a really interesting life story and a multi-cultural, world-traveling background, which has definitely made its way into the design and experience of this hotel, and is to the benefit to her guests. Sunita also owns the cafe Pan & Køf.feé next door, which has a similarly lovely vibe with delicious food, homemade pastries and coffee drinks, and is run by an efficient and friendly team of young local women. If I go back to Merida it will be to visit this amazing spot. The prices might be on the high end for Merida, but are far less than you would expect to spend in most locales for this level of atmosphere and service.

We spent our 22nd wedding anniversary at the TreeHouse Boutique Hotel and felt like we were treated as royalty. The staff are all so delightful, very courteous, kind and provided excellent service. The management pays attention to every detail and makes your time at the hotel such an enjoyable experience. The beauty of the space, the attention to design, the open warm atmosphere, and the luxurious living space made this hotel one of our top anniversary vacations. Very clean. Well located to many great restaurants and easy walking to many interesting sites and activities. Be sure to see the Pacheco murals in the Governor's Palace on the main square, about a ten minute walk from the hotel. The co-owned and managed artisanal bread and exceptional coffee shop next door made the hotel even more special. The culinary experience and wonderful atmosphere makes for intimate and fun conversations. Management took care of all of our transportation needs, including getting top tour guides at reasonable prices with no hassle service. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with fine luxury at a reasonable price, be sure to find the TreeHouse.
