Princess Et Richmond

I chose this hotel for seafront, soundproof and 4 star service. I got the seafront room, but not the rest. The receptionist upon arrival was so aloof and could not describe well breakfast she just said it was small, but later on my last day, I saw there was hot choices, she did not explain how to use the parking code. I had specifically asked for a quiet seafront room on top floor to not have to hear loud women walking in heels (inconsiderate). I got a small room, kind of cramped, they had 4 chairs for a small room. The balcony was the best w/AMAZING views. So wonderful to just sit in the sun and hear the waves. So the room was next to the elevator motor, so it was impossible to have a quiet night sleep when I could hear every time someone used the elevator at 23:30, 02:30, 05:30, 06:00 all day. It was terrible. When I complained at the reception to ask for another room, the lady with red hair was so rude and just kept saying that the noise was impossible and nobody ever complained before. Then apparently there was no other room, but from my balcony I could see rooms below were not being used. This was NO 4*STAR SERVICE! Instead simply excusing them of the noise and disruption, accommodating a guest staying 3 nights, the lady was just rude and said they would send someone to fix the noise, but it was not fixed and she just kept making excuses. The fitness area was kind of creepy and after seeing that, I don't know how clean the jacuzzi might be, so be careful. Other than being seafront, this is definitely not a 4* hotel and overpriced.

Lovely place overlooking the Mediterranean sea with a balcony. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room has a coffee maker and minibar. Bed was comfortable. We parked at their year which is 13Eur per night. Perfect place to relax.....the only thing we missed to make it perfect is to have some English channel in the TV

Nice waterfront location. Rooms were clean with great balcony views. Several parking spots in front otherwise its street parkin or adjacent lot both are pay locations. Nice walking path around beach with plenty of benches..cafes...restaurants

Stayed here for 4 nights in the charming town of Menton. This property has been fully renovated. It is well appointed and very clean. The balcony with the sea view is fabulous, as well as the rooftop deck! Reasonable rates. Would definitely stay here again! Had to park rental car on the street behind the hotel. No issues. The hotel has paid parking but it was sold out during our dates.

When you have had trips with bad stays at hotels, awful stays, beyond awful stays, you come to appreciate the perfect stays. The interestingly named Princess Et Richmond gave us a perfect stay, at a time when we really appreciated and needed it. First, the hotel is in mint condition and modern. The room we had was a decent size and was comfortable. The bed and bedding was of good quality and we slept well, particularly as we had a room right by the Mediterranean Sea, which we enjoyed from our balcony. The bathroom was a decent size and everything worked well, as everything in the room did. No problems, whatsoever. The icing on the cake was how absolutely wonderful the staff was. And why not? The owners, themselves, worked there, too with loving care. Friendly and caring and helpful. It was important to them that their guests have a great time. It was bred into their bones as this was a multi-generational love affair. What an absolute delight it is to be staying with people who enjoy doing their jobs and realize their life is taking care of people’s needs and wants while they are in their bosom and don’t resent that or do it grudgingly. I love chatting with people who work in hotels. Some folks want to do engage. Others try to ignore you. Some think you are ridiculous to even try to talk to them. It should be beneath you to interact with them. Everyone at this hotel was a joy and you almost felt like friends chatting. It was natural and sincere. And when we had questions, they were promptly, completely and correctly answered. All I can say is what else could you want in a hotel. Oh, reasonable rates representing excellent value. They got them, too. Our new trip philosophy is increasingly centered on getting great lodging and particularly going back to hotels where we have have perfect stays. We have learned that having a great hotel can help redeem a bad day on the trip and having a horrible hotel can ruin the best day. We have decided that in some instances we will return to a hotel simply because it was perfect despite having nowhere to go anywhere around it for a second visit to an area. Just to luxuriate in a perfect stay. Very appealing. We will be doing that at Princess Et Richmond in the future. And the great thing is that are places I would still like to see nearby. It’s a twofer.

Very nice and clean hotel and very close to the beach. Very convenient location. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that you could take bus 608 to Monaco. The hotel is about 0.4 miles from Menton train station. The front desk staff is very nice, professional and helpful.

This is a hidden little gem in Menton. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Mountain or Sea View rooms both wonderful. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the sea. It was quiet and the sauna and gym or very convenient.
