The location is very good, the surrounding environment is good, quiet, the top floor observation deck is very good, you can look at the Mississippi River, you can see the bridge marked 'M'. The restaurant on the top floor is also good, you can go and taste it. There are no convenience stores and shopping malls around. It is more convenient to have a car or rent a car. This is the case in the general cities of the United States. It is very inconvenient to have no car. There are some snacks (popcorns and the like) in the hotel room that can be enjoyed free of charge. The hotel room is ok, but we live in a suite with an outdoor deck that can go out and enjoy the exterior. The terrace is large and connected to the next room. There is no problem with security. All the platforms need to be swiped before they can enter. There are leisure sofas on the platform, but there are more dust on the sofa and coffee table and the ground, as well as spider webs. The hotel is located in a large outdoor goods store. The interior decoration is very special. Some real animal specimens, birds, deer, etc. can be seen everywhere. There are also some introductions to the origin of the hotel, which is very story-like. I like to enjoy life in the American country. There is also a battlefield in the mall. There are guns and ammunition on the second floor. On the first floor, there are various mountain bikes, there are various fishing gears and swimwear, and a The harbor pier has a lot of local fish in it. There is also a city called Memphis in Egypt. The shape of this hotel is designed as a pyramid. From the second floor, it is designed as a hotel room along the inner circle of the pyramid. The room will look like a log cabin, plus The decoration of animal specimens is very interesting. The middle part and the first floor of the pyramid are shopping malls, restaurants, bowling alleys and shooting clubs. The top floor is the observation deck and the steakhouse. The hotel is relatively new, the room is relatively large, that is, the windows of some rooms are facing the indoor shopping malls, the shopping malls are exquisitely arranged, and the view from the room is also a scene. In short, to travel to Memphis, this is a place worth living.

The hotel itself is very nice. Our room was lovely, quiet, large, 2 big beds which were amazingly comfortable. Wish I could have taken the pillows home. The room was cleaned daily. I am quite surprised how many reviews have said the hotel is dirty. This was definitely not the case from what we experienced. 15 minute walk to Beale Street although you can use the free shuttle. Reg is so lovely and friendly and you just need to give a tip. Breakfast is $15 each or you walk over to the Sheraton, you can get a tram to various cafes that do breakfast. The Bar opens at 3.00pm and the bar lady is friendly, however the cost of a bottle of wine is $43! To be honest the whole of the USA is expensive for wine! The only reason we haven't given 5 stars to this hotel, the Reception Staff are miserable! We arrived at 2.45pm and went straight to the desk, excited, as you do, to be told abruptly check in is not until 3.00pm so my partner and I sat waiting until 3.00pm after a long time travelling. We then stood about 2 metres from the Desk and still ignored. I had to stand right up at the desk and then the young woman finally said come over to this one. No smile, no greeting, no advice, no nothing. To be treated like that on arrival is disgusting. She either had a very bad day or should not be in a customer facing role! I have never experienced this attitude at a hotel before. Unfortunately we did not catch her name but we did complain to the Manager Bruce about the poor service. Sadly this is one of the things we remember most about the hotel.

It was very difficult to get to this hotel. Our GPS kept on wanting us to go through Main Street, which is for pedestrians and the trolley only. Entry is from Front street. After turning around and around, we get to the hotel hoping for valet. None that week. We were sent to park on our own in a building on Front street and given a code to go in and out. In my frazzled state, I could not understand the instructions the receptionist was giving me. In the end, he came out and pointed to the building. No fee for that. However, they didn't have large luggage carriers, and as we were traveling for a long time and staying 4 days, we had to do 2 trips with it to transfer all of our luggages. The bar was closed. The room was in the historic Kress building, so we had to cross over to that building from the reception. It was a large suite, with 2 queen beds on one side, half a wall, and a trundle bed on the other side. The room was very confortable. The beds were confortable and so were the linens. Irritants - too much light through bathroom doors! When someone would go to the bathroom, the light shone in my face the whole time even though they closed the door. It was pretty annoying, mostly at night when it woke me up. Also, under his trundle bed was a whole bunch of junk left by preceeding occupants. It was never cleaned while we were there. From the description online, I thought there would be a sofa bed and a trundle bed. Just a trundle bed in our room. We also had a small fridge. We appreciated how, without us asking, they left a bag of towels attached to the doorknob on day 2. Breakfast was OK, the room was fairly small, and a homeless man kept on knocking in the window in the morning. The breakfast attendant did what she could to push him away though. There was waffles, eggs, meats, oatmeal, cereals and breads. We really enjoyed the hard boiled eggs in that location. The hotel is very well located, on Main street and walkable to Beale Street or the Pyramid. The university is right there too. Staff was OK.

I was in town to help my daughter move to the area and help her get settled while she worked at her new job and I worked remotely during the days. The biggest complaint I had was the internet speed. I'm in IT and work remotely, participating in video calls throughout the day. Because of this, I upgraded my internet speed to the better quality. After having problems on my video calls, I contacted Comcast (the ISP for the hotel) and they couldn't figure it out and were supposed to send someone out to investigate and fix the issue. This was on Wednesday and I checked out on Saturday morning with no resolution and no speed improvement. Throughout my stay, the faucet in the kitchen leaked maybe one drip every three or four seconds progressing to 1-2 drips each second and wrapping up my stay with a narrow but steady stream of water. The maintenance tech came up on Friday and found she didn't have the parts needed to fix it and it apparently wasn't too high on the priority list to source them locally. I was told it would wait until Monday when she returned. Again, I checked out on Saturday with no resolution. Overall, the kitchen is tired as is several non-room aspects of the property. The veneer on the particle board cabinetry is delaminating and some of the doors don't even hang straight anymore. The fridge doors look like someone took a hammer to them. Some of the stair treads have come loose and are most definitely a trip-and-fall hazard. The whole thing's seen better days. Oh, and I can't forget the daily smell of someone smoking **** on my floor - IN A NON-SMOKING BUILDING! I was required to stay another week and so I moved to a different ESA location across town; I should have stayed at this one, even with its issues. I don't know if the problem is endemic to Memphis or system-wide, but I'm not impressed. Needless to say, I won't be staying with ESA anytime soon.

I was very happy with the service at the customer's desk, the space of the clean room and the smile on the faces of the breakfast serving girl and the late night bartender. The quality of the bed was super! I only missed a breakfast buffet with a wider choice of healthy food...

Hotel was pretty basic in terms of amenities. Cleanliness was not their strong suit- literally dust and small hairs on our bathroom light fixtures. You have to ask for housekeeping -it’s not automatic-and we found ourselves frequenting the front desk for fresh plastic cups, coffee pods and fresh washcloths. Trash built up in the room from carry out. TV shows “froze” every few minutes for several seconds. Wi-fi worked well. AC worked well. Hallway carpets simply grungy with dirt and stains. Breakfast was standard and ok. Didn’t use the pool or workout room. If I paid $85-100/night I would’ve been satisfied. $170/night (before taxes) is way overpriced for this facility.

This restaurant could not have been any more accommodating and clean. When I first arrived I was greeted by the hotel worker named Chris and it was one more I can’t remember his name. They surpassed past my expectations completely during my stay I was absolutely impressed. When I had one issue the staff worked to ensure it was promptly fixed. The hotel manager and her staff were great and professional. I’ll definitely recommend them to anyone.
