Good service and friendly staff. Clean room with good view. Would love to go again! 😁

We stayed here for four nights. 1. The staff is courteous. 2. Perhaps it's due to the Oaks brand, but the hotel has a strong scent of aromatherapy throughout. 3. The room is spacious, but overall it shows some wear and feels a bit old. 4. The location is convenient, right next to Flagstaff Station. There’s a convenience store (very expensive) and Chemist Warehouse nearby. 5. If you want to use the parking facility, you must make a reservation in advance. 6. Laundry costs AUD4, drying costs AUD4, and laundry powder costs AUD2. The washing takes about 30 minutes, and drying takes about 40 minutes. 7. Aside from toothpaste and a toothbrush, all other amenities are provided including body lotion. If you need more, you can ask the front desk. However, there is no daily room cleaning service, so you need to take out the trash yourself if necessary. 8. Interestingly, the room we booked was already with a garden view, but they said they upgraded me to garden view (with the same room type). They must have made a mistake of upgrade 😆 9. TV is without youtube nor Netflix.

Oak Melbourne on William is across the street from Flagstaff park. I have booked a double bed apartment facing the park, great view, can see sunset from the balcony. Worth the extra money, stay there 4 nights, there is no room cleaning service, but no big deal. Apartment is about 12-15 minutes walk from Skybus Express bus terminal in South Cross train station. Short walk to Victoria Market. #35 free tram stop at the corner of street, very convenient to the freeway for sightseeing. Room is clean, bed is comfortable. Have small kitchen area, can make simple meal only. It has minimum kitchen utensils, and only 1 small pot and 1 frying pen. I have problem making pasta.

Got a room that faces Flagstaff garden - beautiful sunset view. Tram and train station is right at the doorstep, and Queen Victoria market couple of mins walk. Perfect location!

I planned to stay into OAKS hotel, however the hotel arranged us to stay into the nearby hotel “Avani Melbourne Central Residences”. The place is great, as we stayed at 51st floor, its view is great too. Except that some cleanup to the oven is required, Very smoky when we used it.

it’s alright for a short stay - close enough to CBD to walk to most places, and basic amenities are provided. rooms could do with a little refreshing though as it looked and felt a little old.

Great stay. Walking distance to Bourke St Mall.. supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants all close by. Room was clean, really spacious, and had a great balcony overlooking the park. Check in / out was really easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Kitchen facilities are good for a longer stay. Request high floor to make the most of the view! Would stay again.

The room looks older than the one in picture. But the room's location is very good near CBD.

Excellent location with easy access to public transport and entertainment venues. However, there is no loading bay for unloading/loading of guest luggage and the front is a single lane roadway. A great inconvenience to find a meter parking lot nearby and to walk the distance with luggage.
