4 Star Hotels in Meggen

I stayed at the Gasthaus Badhof for a week. I booked on the hotel website and got a special price for staying seven days in a row. The hotel is located in a quiet town five minutes by car from the centre of Lucerne. I went down walking to the city in less than an hour twice, walking along the edge of the lake to the city. There is a bus line -free for being a hotel guest- with a stop a few meters away, very convenient for the return, uphill. It is a one-story building with twelve very spacious rooms (50 m2). The architecture is very modern and the quality of the construction, facilities and furniture are excellent. The bathroom is integrated into the room, the shower is a very well built glazed hurna. Each room has a large covered terrace where you can admire the magnificent landscape: an nine-hole golf course and, in the background, Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. You can walk or go jogging around. I had an underground parking space -with charging point for my electric car- with direct access to the room by elevator -no additional charge-. On the ground floor is the reception and the restaurant lounge with large windows to the golf and exit to sit outside. The breakfast is not of great variety -because the hotel is small- but it is served in a very correct way and with fresh products of very good quality. All the hotel staff and golf course caretakers are very friendly and professional. They are always willing to help and showing their best smile. I think it is an ideal place to stay to visit Switzerland staying in a real four-star hotel, modern, quiet, clean, discreet, convenient and reasonably priced.
