What an amazing experience once again! Magpie & Fig Tree cottages are just the place to feel close to nature. The cottages are well equipped and the views are fantastic. A huge Thank you to Craig and the staff. We had a true local experience while staying at Caracal Lodge.

One of the best establishments I have visited. We stayed in the Bushbuck unit. Great Value for Money. The unit was spacious and well equipped. The Beds is extremely comfortable! Graig was an excellent Host and ensured we had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. The unit was clean and exceeded our expectations with how well it was equipped. We saw the Giraffes at least every hour right infant of unit as well as other game (Zebra, Impala...). We enjoyed some fishing as well as the walking trails to the waterfall and caves. I will definitely recommend this lodge. We will return again, until then, Thank you to the entire Caracal Team. Awesome place !

If you want to get away from the world and be in a peace of heaven this is the place! WE stayed at Fig Tree lodge, an off the grid chalet with gas and led lights, we took a hike to the waterfall and bumped into Kudu, Zebra, Impala and Giraffe, it was mind blowing to be back to basics and in nature, the best part is that it is pet friendly and we took our baby with, she was in her element, Thank you Craig for being an excellent host! WE will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were warmly welcomed by Craig. He was very hospitable and friendly. There are beautiful walks to do, a waterfall to see and animals close by. The decor in the cottages is well thought out. We loved our stay at Caracal and highly recommend it.

Very peaceful with beautiful surrounding mountains. The cottages are clean and well maintained. Beautiful hiking routes with giraffes and other animals. Beautiful sunsets and very nice swimming pool on the premises.

It was our 3rd time at Caracal Lodge. As always it was a most enjoyable quiet weekend. This time we stayed at Mag Tree, and has to say their best unit. Very secluded, with lovely splash pool... Everything was just perfect for a romantic getaway.

Beautiful & clean hiking trails. The only negative point was - we wish there were more trails to explore! Stone Circle was beautiful, clean and comfy, loved the fireplace with comfortable sofa ;). We enjoyed the pic's daily visit to our chalet.

Beautiful cottages, fenced-in for pets. Giraffes and other animals literally on your doorstep! Not even the rainy weather could spoil our trip. Craig was so helpful and really went out of his way to make us feel at home! Will most definitely be back!
