Great stay at FS Mauritius. Restaurant choices are aplenty, really nice beach and service is great. Would stay here during our next trip to Mauritius.

There is no need to say more about the luxury of the Four Seasons Hotel. There are some furnishings here, and it can be seen that it is a bit old. It is not a very young hotel, but its supporting facilities are too strong, and the beach and the sea are unique. If you are a kid who travels on a budget and want to book this hotel, I think you can be more cautious. I drove in, and from the gate to the reception, I had to drive one or two kilometers. Basically, once you get in, you can only eat, drink and have fun there. There are many restaurants there, Japanese, Indian, Italian, and their buffet restaurant. They have a buffet for dinner every Thursday, and we also went to eat, but that night we spent more than 2,000 yuan for one or two people, and some fun. Staying in the Four Seasons is based on a room rate of 5,000 or 6,000 a day, plus other consumption of 3,000 to 10,000. Of course, there are some people who may consider traveling on a budget. We are also an ordinary family, but when we go to that environment, we still want to eat and have fun. If we go there to eat instant noodles and only play free projects, I can't do it. The sincere suggestion is to increase the budget, have fun, and enjoy it to the fullest!

The children's playground is great, with babies as young as three months old being taken care of all day. There are activities from morning to night, suitable for children of all ages. It's just that the food in the restaurant is not very good.

As expected of the Four Seasons, the hotel is clean and cleaned twice a day. The staff are very welcoming. The private beach is beautiful. You can see the sunrise every morning in the sea view room. Various restaurants have different dishes every day. I will come again!

Yes, the natural environment is great, and the food is average. It is the most worthy hotel that our Maoqiu has ever stayed in. The service is also very good.

The service is very good, the environment is good, the staff is very nice. Dining in the restaurant is quite expensive. If you are not used to it or think it is too expensive, you can bring some self-heating hot pot or self-heating rice to improve the taste. The hotel has a free ferry to Ludao Island every day. It is a very good experience to enjoy the sunny beach on Ludao Island and eat Chinese rice.

Some of the reviews had made us apprehensive about our choice of staying here. We had booked six days here and four at Maradiva and wondering if we’d made a mistake and should have booked the whole stay at the Maradiva. We hadn’t! This hotel is absolutely superb! ( Maradiva was a disappointment - see separate review) On arrival at 8 am we were immediately shown to a room. An upgrade from what we had booked. However our beach access room wasn’t yet available. We were offered the choice of staying in the ocean view or moving later on in the day to our original view. We opted to stay in the ocean view as it was more private albeit with no beach access. The Rooms The rooms are in need of slight updating but are luxurious and spacious. Clean and beautiful linen. The Hotel The grounds of this hotel are absolutely beautiful. We walked everywhere and it’s all easily accessible. No need for golf carts. The flowers and trees are so well looked after. The beach We took the speedboat each day to Ile aux cerfs. We loved this option. The beach is looked after by hotel staff and private. Rambo is at the bar and an absolute star. Swimming Pool Beautiful swimming pool in an amazing setting. Spa We booked several treatments which were all wonderful. Gift shop Lovely little gift shop where we bought several gifts before we left for family. All reasonably priced. Food Breakfast was busy but there was a huge selection and we were well looked after. Dinner - we were half board but used the credit with ease and simply added the cost onto what was on the menu. Special mention to the staff at the Upper Cut. We loved every meal we had. Five star food and five star staff. Only meal which didn’t work for us was on the beach bbq at Lazy Fish. If you are wondering if this is or isn’t the hotel for you, ignore the poor reviews. This is truly a wonderful hotel and we may well return. The staff are all kind caring attentive and also fun! We loved every day with you. Five stars all round.

Had an excellent stay after Christmas and for New Year. Beautiful gardens and views. All the staff very attentive, helpful and competent. Great breakfast, coffee served immediately on arrival, eggs to order, great buffet. Restaurants were all exceptional - Lazy Fish and the Italian and Indian were our favourites. The gym is fairly small/limited but never had to queue for a machine, it’s spotless, staff friendly and deliver cold towels! We did an accompanied hike which was great. On arrival to any pool or beach lounger free iced water is delivered immediately with a smile. Whatsapp for handling any issue (eg the curtains fell down a few times) and for all requests and enquiries which was so convenient and quick. Concierge was very helpful. Villa was huge and clean, lots of tvs, free coffee and water which was great. We seemed to get free local gifts every day although would have appreciated a fruit bowl more. We didn’t need to use the buggies (there can be a wait if it’s in the middle of a downpour as you would expect- otherwise they were super quick) as we cycled everywhere and you can walk most places in 5 minutes. We used the free paddle boards and pedalo. Water sports team were lovely. Concierge was extremely helpful. Spa treatments were very good and team very accommodating with scheduling. Only suggestion would be to have the island shuttle every half hour and starting earlier (eg 10) as it was sometimes full and if you miss one it messed up lunch/spa/other plans for the day. My daughter said it was the best holiday ever. We will return next year for sure!

My stay at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita was magical - it’s the most beautiful Four Seasons Resort I’ve visited so far. From the moment I arrived, the exceptional service stood out. Every single staff member was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring experience was perfect from start to finish. I had the pleasure of trying all the restaurants on the property, and they were all top-notch. However, my personal favorites were Upper Cut for its exquisite cuisine and Lazy Fish for the fresh flavors and ambiance. The villa was stunning - well-maintained, with a relaxing private pool and a gorgeous summer shower in the back that added to the tropical luxury. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create an unforgettable stay. Everything about this resort was just perfect, and I am already dreaming of the day I can come back. It’s truly paradise!

We visited in December with our 1 year old son and were joined by family for a special trip. The hotel and service was exceptional, anything we asked for on the dedicated whatsapp was answered almost instantly. We asked if the room could be baby proofed for our 1 year old son so that it was safe for him to crawl around in the outside area before the pool, within 15 minutes a fence had been built around our pool for us. The setting in every area of the hotel was breathtaking, and the food at the restaurants was all amazing, we particularly loved the Italian, Japanese and Indian restaurants. The kids club was great and the private island which take 15 minutes to get to by boat was truly beautiful. We hope to return next year. Thank you to all the staff who made it so special! Missing it already.

My husband and I went to Four Seasons in Mauritius for our romantic trip in March. There were a lot of disappointments in the hotel: 1. The first and the biggest disappointment was the sea. The hotel is surrounded on all sides by land (by a neighboring hotel, another island, etc.). So fresh water doesn't really come to this area - it is more like a pond. And I really mean it. When you enter the water you feel muddy bottom as though you swim in a swamp. There are also branches and new trees under water and you stumble all the time while walking. However, we tried to start swimming as fast as possible not to stand on this disgusting bottom. And when you come to the buyos you discover that the depth is to your waist (for me, as I am 160 cm) and even less for my husband who is taller than me. Sometimes eels jump out of water and swim like snakes so if you don't like this kind of staff it will also be a problem. And all the beaches that surround Four Seasons are like this. 2. The waiters on the beach never come to your sunbeds and this is a real challenge to get someone to serve you something. You have to run after the hotel staff. 3. There are also no showers on the beaches. We found just one in a strange place - where the shuttle parking is. And you have to walk a lot if you want to wash off the salt after swimming. 4. The sunbeds are very uncomfortable. The cover is so flat as though you just lie on a piece of wood (every piece of your body hurts). My husband and I are just wondering how expensive it is for a Four Seasons hotel to alter the covers (not even talking about buying new ones). 5. Four Seasons also has another beach on another island and there is a free shuttle boat every 45 minutes for everyone who wants to go. The water there is more like an ocean - no muddy bottom, no eels, no trees coming from water - and even waves like in normal ocean. Here you can go into water a bit deeper. However, the water itself is rather dirty (maybe the water is dirty everywhere because of the waterbreaker which surrounds the island of Mauritius, I don't know). 6. This island is open to public, but Four Seasons has a small part of the beach just for the hotel guests there. While you are lying on your sunbed a lot of other tourists not from the hotel walk through the beach of Four Seasons and sometimes decide to lie on the sunbeds of the hotel. For this reason there is a Four Seasons guard who should keep order and ask these not guests not to lie on the sunbeds. However the guard is useless – he just enjoys his life and does nothing, no reaction. He even doesn’t move from the place where he stands. Just doing something in his phone. 7. When you come back to your villa you don’t have shower outside to wash off the sand which you bring from the beach on your feet. So you have 2 options: bring a lot of sand into the room or wash your legs in your swimming pool – so I am not surprised that the swimming pool at the villa was quite dirty. 8. The color of water i

Very Good

We have just spent a week at this Four Seasons in Mauritius (this is our 4th stay at a Four Seasons in the last 12 months) which was mostly excellent with a few buts… The good stuff:- The villa was in a beautiful location, looking out to the Indian Ocean, very large with 2 very comfy beds. It was very quiet with a plunge pool and sun beds, very secluded. Staff are lovely, very helpful, smiley and friendly. Pool was good. One highlight was the free boat trip to Isle de Cerf 10 minutes away, where Four Seasons have a private bit of the outstanding beach, with a bar/restaurant/sunbeds/toilets…all excellent, definitely make the effort to go if you’re staying here, it’s really worth it. I Paddle boarded every day from the beach, free for guests, it was quite windy whilst I was there so couldn’t go far, but still enjoyed it. Upper Cut restaurant, good for steak Acquapazza, melanzanna and pasta good Not quite so good stuff:- The main reason I couldn’t give this stay 5 stars, was the food, it was so inconsistent. Some was excellent: Tuna tataki, beef tartar, beef burger all very good, but somethings were not good at all: lentil soup, club sandwich, a prawn dish we had in Bambou restaurant, I found the yoghurt very strange at breakfast, it had a filmy, skin on the top. Some other dishes were very average. Quite a lot of birds around at breakfast, if you left the table you would come back to find birds eating whatever you had left. Sometimes had to wait a long time for a buggy, 30 minutes when we were checking out The internet was very slow, I had planned a Zoom meeting but it wasn’t good enough for that. Finally, I had to call maintenance 4 times for small but irritating things in the room, the safe wasn’t working, the curtain fell down, the pedal bin in the toilet wasn’t working and the control for the plug in the bath kept falling off. I know they are closing for a refurbishment soon, but we are still paying full price, so expect full service.
