What a wonderful hotel. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The excursions offered through the hotel were reasonably priced and just what we wanted. The rooms were large with comfy bedding and well supplied with towels and amenities. We had a balcony with table and chairs and w view of the port and you can hear the waves at night. It is a peaceful spot with great restaurants and a bus stop to get anywhere you need to go. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in avoiding touristy congested areas and looking to feel pampered. My only complaint may be that they could update the bedspreads. They are dated. The hotel has an old school vibe with modern amenities. You won’t be disappointed

Excellent beds and pillows, huge rooms, terrace, amazing breakfast, views. Very helpful staff. Nice location. Bathroom could do with some renovation, but it’s ok. Excellent a/c. Fairly priced! Two steps from the beach and couple lovely restaurants on it. Lovely stay!

the hotel is old and out dated , dirty bathroom smells of swage , breakfast was terrible , staff was very nice and polite location is ok with nice view but that the only thing about it it should eb rated 2 stars , not good value for money we where scammed on the first night we arrived , as we got there around midnight we asked for food from room service they said the kitchen is closed bit they will try to prepare something for us they haded me a paper to sign for 22 euros then on the check out I found out it was only for one item and the actual bill was 80eurio for 3 cheese sandwiches !

Stay away please and don’t get ripped off. This hotel is very overrated and way overpriced advertised as 4 star and charging 4 star rate, however it’s a shabby, dated and dirty guest house with very rude staff. We have never been to such a terrible hotel paying so much money and feel really ripped off. All facilities such as pool, sauna, baby cot, parking etc are chargeable and non of the facilities are in a good condition either. Nothing in this so called hotel is near a 4 star standards. We were charged €2200 for a 5 night stay even though due to the hotel’s awful condition we decided to leave 2 nights earlier and communicated with the manager but he refused to refund and they still charged us for the full stay. Our room was changed on arrival due to the awful and hazardous condition of the shower but even the second room was in a very bad condition. The rooms had a terrible odour and smelt of damp, the furnitures were rusted and outdated, the showers were filthy with black mould everywhere including shower head. No kettle or any tea, coffee facility or glasses or cups was available in the room, which is a normal offering of a 4 star hotel. The only bathroom amenities provided was just a cheap shampoo and shower gel and nothing else not even hand soap. The breakfast was a very limited choice with bees and flies all over foods without any protection or cover which put you off your breakfast. Hot water for tea was always cold. Poor standard of staffing, with obvious lack of proper training. Resturant staff hanged around the restaurant joking, laughing loudly and kicking each other and made fun of guests rather than ensuring stock was filled and we had to constantly ask for everything. When we asked for cutleries they were thrown on our table. There was a torrential rain one day and we asked for umbrella and non was available. Who and how this hotel has been rated as a 4 star is a wonder and there are absolutely nothing that meets the standard of a 4 star. Unfortunately *********** also has no verification process to confirm the real standard of the hotel and doesn’t protect you in any way. We shared all the photos from the room and made *********** aware of the bad conditions, however the only action taken was communicating our message with the manager who refused to admit and help and they came back to us stating they couldn’t assist us any further.

If you are a family specially with kids , I suggest think again please. No proper facilities to entertain or in the event of emergency long way to the nearest town (if you find any!). Narrow roads to drive and subject to flooding if it rains. The hotel itself is nowhere near 4 star. Rooms are very basic, smell of damp, loose wire in the shower, small shower space and unhygienic. They charge you for parking, "SPA" (real laugh), and baby cot considering the price we already paid. Some staff have no idea about their job functions. I asked them for an umbrella and they had none. We spoke to the manager and he changed our room, with no difference!!!? REALLY OVERRATED. I am only giving 1 star for the location.

The staff were very nice. Nerano is a quiet bay, which makes a change from nearby Sorrento or Positano. I don’t think it’s 4 star though. The breakfast was ok, but not great. The room was ok - nice balcony but poor aircon. A bit shabby in places. They have à rooftop bar, but during the day you have to pay €25 euros per person even if you are resident there. In the evening you have to pay a minimum of €15 each. My main complaint however was the parking. On the website it says parking is €20 per day. This was also communicated to me via email, but once you’re there it was €30/day. This is because our car was apparently over 4 metres long, which sounds big, but when I tell you our car was a Vauxhall (opel) corsa, (4060mm long apparently) most cars would fall into this (unadvertised) ‘big’ category. They can of course charge what they like but it felt like they were just trying to squeeze the last drop of money out of you in a place that’s already expensive. Although this was my 7th trip to the Amalfi coast we won’t return to this hotel as I don’t think it’s value for money.
