Ibis Budget Marseille Vieux-Port Reviews

Considering this is an ibis Budget hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. Great location in the old port area, heaps of restaurants around, walkable to everything. Very friendly staff on check-in. Room was compact but clean. It’s no frills so there is no safe, fridge, kettle or wardrobe. Good value for money. Breakfast was an additional €8.90 but worth it.

Location is excellent, very close to the harbor and cleanness is also good. Very recommended.

Very good price and conveniently located in old port area. Simple but sufficient double room. Locker (paid), microwave and coffee machine in the lobby was a plus.

Definitely a basic room but the linens were clean, pillows comfy, water pressure and temperature were good and pump soap was handy by the sink and in the shower so that was all fine. Unfortunately the TV didn't work and the air conditioner wasn't robust enough for such warm weather. Otherwise, the facility seemed safe, the front counter always seemed to be attended, and the location was very close to the old port and metro, and there was a civic parking lot within easy walking distance.

The air con is not available. It is quite hot inside the room. Water pressure is slightly insufficient and the dtaff cannot find our booking in the beginning. However, the hotel is generally clean and comfy, locating close to the port as well

Conveniently located. Close to Old Port and within walking distance to a lot of sightseeing spots. Check in was a bit messy.

The location is good, close to the subway station and the Old Port of Marseille. Hot water and drinking water can be installed in the lobby. . . The rooms at Ibis are relatively small and have air conditioning.

Close to the old port. But you must pay attention to the air conditioning. If you don't feel cold, you must go to the front desk. The first time we went to the front desk, he didn't speak English. After a long conversation, he left... The second time we went to the front desk at 1 a.m., he changed our room.

Overall, everything is good, but the main minus is that in the room on the 7th floor there was no Wi-Fi. And the room was a bit dark, there was not enough lighting.

Very well located hotel 2 steps from the old port. The entrance is behind the one visible in the photos, it looks more like an underground car park than a hotel.

We took a double room with my aunt, we stayed 3 nights. The location of the hotel is perfect, less than 5 minutes walk from the Old Port and several restaurants. The room is small but more than sufficient. The toilets backed up so they smelled a little but it didn't pose a real problem. The staff is pleasant. There is luggage storage in the hotel but for a fee.
