Appart hôtel Maison Montgrand-Vieux Port

We had the impression of being in an old student residence. Some of the rooms had a kettle, others did not. We weren't even in the same building. Shame. Only positive point was the proximity to the city center

I did not appreciate the concept of bringing together under the name "Maison Montgrand hotel", a beautiful private mansion where the reception is located, a bar, the breakfast room and a large garden and rooms and apartments scattered in 4 buildings located nearby on the same street. In no way did I feel in a boutique hotel (as advertised on the website) but rather in a building without charm and without soul. Our standard room is modern but tiny for 2 people with a suitcase; it is certainly cozy but it you have to constantly juggle to get around or take your belongings. There is no telephone and you will have to use your own mobile phone to reach reception. The breakfast is excellent with a good choice of salty/sweet. The staff is friendly with a special mention to the young receptionist for her professionalism, availability and good humor. The renovation of the facade of the private mansion was carried out only on the street side.... too bad

Sono stato al Montgrand il 12 e il 13 dicembre, la mattina per colazione la signora della reception non mi ha salutato e con tono inquisitorio mi ha chiesto il numero di camera per farmi accedere alla sala, Alla mia richiesta se poteva prestarmi un carica batteria del cellulare mi ha risposto di no, con tono seccato. Oggi andando via dopo il check out a bisbigliato “tutto a posto” e al mio saluto non ha distolto lo sguardo dal computer e ha salutato stentatamente. Sicuramente non è un trattamento di un hotel di un certo tipo e non credo di farci più ritorno.

Les chambres sont très bien localisées proches du vieux port. L'organisation sur plusieurs bâtiments n'est pas un problème. Le personnel est très accueillant, avec les fortes chaleurs ils ont dû remplir plusieurs fois nos gourdes :) Le petit déjeuner est agréable dans le jardin. La chambre en elle même est très cosy, la literie est confortable et la salle de bain est fonctionnelle. En revanche la chambre que nous avons eue (110) est située près des blocs de clim qui rejettent la chaleur dans la cour et ceci fait du bruit et empêche d'ouvrir les fenêtres, et comme la VMC de la chambre n'est pas exceptionnelle il y a un peu d'humidité. En résumé une escale agréable et très bien placée pour une nuit, avec des éléments perfectibles si on veut rester plus longtemps.

Hôtel situé à proximité immédiate du Vieux port, l’établissement "Maison Montgrand" propose des prestations de qualité. Les points à noter : la proximité avec le centre-ville, la décoration des parties communes et la cour intérieure.
