Hotels near Place de Foucauld in Marrakech

An excellent hotel, just the only fault would be the location a bit out of the city center. For people who like tranquility this is a good location.

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. This is a great value hotel - the beds were very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Also - definitely go for the breakfast!! Pool is clean and great for a cool off and a swim. We very much enjoyed our stay. Titos restaurant nearby is also a must !

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what ”half-board” means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant.  I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. The staff were friendly,lovely and approachable. Especially Hussain and Ahmed. Ahmed went out of his way to buy me a phone charger when my phone battery was almost dead. Hussain is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English The room were clean and the service was amazing. Location is about 15min from the airport and walking distance to Guilze City center. Wish shower had shampoo. Would go back again

Nice room, convenient transportation, but not too noisy, and the photos are good-looking, Marrakesh is a cost-effective hotel. I have stayed here for several nights.

We stayed there for one night. Our booking was including Dinner and breakfast. Very poor dinner with a few cold option to choose. Rutten salad. No drink at all even water. Dinner without fizzy drink or water ! First time experience! They billed me for the water we had in our dinner table ! Very poor breakfast. Only coffee for breakfast even for kids. When I complain that our little kid (and surly other kids) is not allowed to have coffee or tea and asked for juice , I was ignored. Tried several times to speak to manager but all were rejected. Not 4 star for sure. 2 stars is the real rate. Also do not believe the swimming pool's photos taken by a wide Lenz camera. In real it is located in roof and is very small.

What a great value hotel, super clean & beautifully kept gardens & grounds. Pools & slides were great too - we all enjoyed them. Pools are cold but once in they were fine & reminding yourself it was only February. Our weather was hot sunny days, cool mornings & evenings. Lots of things going on during the day into the evening. We had a large bedroom overlooking the pool very clean & very comfortable. Food & beverage are all very good. The staff couldn’t do enough for you & always had a smile! Did some great trips through Get Your Guide - Atlas Mountains, Waterfall & Berber Village. The Jardin Marjorelle, YSL museum. There were 9 of us in our party, we all had a fab stay at Labranda Targa Club - we could not fault it & have been one over by Marrakech ❤️ We will be returning! Thank you for all your hard work & for looking after us!

The hotel is amazing the staff the food the services… everything is wonderful. Essadi hotel located in te city center where everything is closed: restaurants, drug stores, coffee shops and supermarkets. I recommend it strongly and hope you will enjoy it as we did 😌
