Very pleasant & comfortable surroundings. We stayed for 7 nights in this peaceful Riad. Staff were always smiling and offering assistance - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, it was traditional Moroccan food. We felt very much at home and would stay again.

The accommodation was nice and clean and it's the perfect location in the middle of Madina. The breakfast was lovely, we got something slightly different each morning (bread, pancake, cakes, yogurt, omelette,...) with jams, honey and tea or coffee and fresh orange juice. The staff were very friendly and we were always welcomed with a smile, nothing was too much hassle. Especially thank you to Ahmed who prepared our breakfast early for us so we could catch the flight and walked to the taxi driver with us. The slight downside was the noise at night time, though the beds were very comfortable. There was only a curtain to the bathroom, a door would be more private and comfortable

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Riad Assala. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so attentive and kind. We could not have asked for more. We stayed in a room just off the central riad garden, which somehow, despite being in the centre of the Medina was so peaceful. We loved just relaxing in the central garden and the roof when we were not out exploring. The breakfast was delicious with some lovely local delicacies. Also, if you stay you MUST get a massage. Hands down the absolute best massage I've had in my life, even better than the local Hammams. On our first night we were met with hot mint tea, talk about the local area and a beautiful dinner. This place will always have a special place in my heart, thank you Riad Assala!

Loved this stay, the staff was helpful and ever so polite and friendly. Ahmed met us by our taxi on our way there and took us all the way back too, even carried our suitcase! Beautiful stay, and I'd absolutely recommend the hammam they offer upstairs which is competitively priced and oh so good! The hotel itself is right in the middle of medina so you're right in the middle of a souk, you'll need to be tough walking past all the sellers trying to get you in their shop, everyone does and they are very persistent. It's very near the large square and is right where the excitement is. If you're looking to stay at old Town medina, this riad is what you want!

Last week we stayed at Riad Assala with 8 people. When we arrived, the staff refused to pick us up at the edge of the medina or even organize a cart for our luggage. This is common in the riads, as you cannot drive into the medina by vehicle and cannot find your way there as a tourist. We have been to Marrakech 4 times. This has never happened to us before. The entire reception was not friendly and, to be honest, it really spoiled my three days in Marrakesh, especially since I had reserved the rooms for the group and was very embarrassed by the situation in front of our friends. I definitely cannot recommend this Riad.

We spent 7 days in this Riad, located in the heart of the Medina (Quartiers Mouassine - Dar El Bacha), also in the heart of the souks, Jamaa El Fna square (10 minutes on foot). We could never have imagined that behind this door in this alley was such a magnificent place!!! Once inside we no longer heard a single sound of the tumult of the souks. Very warm and friendly welcome, as if we were arriving at home! We had the first meal at the Riad, a chicken lemon tagine (a delight), thanks again to Fatima who is an excellent cook. Top breakfasts, enough to last you all morning. Very beautiful decoration of the Riad. But the best of the must is this attentive team, everything is done to ensure that you are pampered! We were delighted with the organized excursions. I had the best birthday of my life organized in the Agafay desert, the magic happened. Thank you to you our Friends (Ahmed, Mustapha, Fatima, Kabira), without you the Riad would not have this taste. We already miss you enormously, the return to France was difficult but filled with memories and these wonderful encounters. We will come back to see you with immense joy.
