The Central House Marrakech Medina

The place was spectacular. Excellent service. As for cleanliness, it could have been a little better, but it was still acceptable. The only thing is that it's located beyond the market, and no one told me that the market closes at night, and consequently, the streets are shut off. So you have to take wider detours and avoid the scammers who give you wrong directions and then follow you to offer a scooter ride to the hostel, only to demand money for rides that are just 1-2 minutes long.

I stayed here for one night as a solo traveler in an 8-bed dorm room. The room was clean, air-conditioned, and had private beds with lockers. The rooftop terrace and the Riad were beautiful and relaxing places to sit or chat with other guests, especially the pool area. Breakfast was also wonderful with plenty of choices. Overall, a very nice hostel that I would definitely recommend!

The sign on the table says THE CENTRAL HOUSE. It's convenient that each dorm room has its own shower and toilet. From the rooftop, you can see the minarets and the Atlas Mountains.

This is a hostel. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend booking a 'luxury' room. You'll be staying in a hostel at the price of a good riad. The room is very dark, and you can't open the curtain of the only window because you'd be exposed to everyone. The toilet periodically smelled. The rules here are strict – no alcohol allowed, even though it was available at the bar (very strange, wouldn't you agree?). Also, you can only leave your luggage for a fee, and it's not a very budget-friendly price (even if you booked a 'luxury' room). Breakfasts are meager, and the dishes are usually cold (but then again, this is normal for Morocco). It's located in the heart of the Medina, so there's endless hustle and bustle around the hotel. On the plus side, I can commend the hotel's good style and the vibe created by the nice music playing throughout.
