Riad El Youssoufi

Riad El Youssoufi is, in one word, heavenly. Truly a little paradise on earth. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by stunning decor and a warm, peaceful atmosphere that feels even more magical than the photos suggest. What made our stay especially unforgettable was the people. The staff are incredibly kind and caring—after just a few days, they genuinely felt like friends, even family. Their attention, warmth, and sincerity made us feel completely at home. The location in the medina is perfect: right in the heart of the city, yet once inside the riad, it becomes an oasis of calm and tranquility. It felt safe at all times, even as three women traveling together, which made our experience even more relaxing.

Amazing,although nearly in the middle or walkable to most places it was a quiet haven. Imane and staff were wonderful and one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. My room was very comfortable and set out with a beautiful sunken shower. Breakfast on the terrace rounded everything off perfectly.

Charming and cosy small riad, walking distance from wonderful markets and restaurants. We only stayed one night (our last stop before our flight home), but it was a lovely experience.

Located close to the excellent Museum of Confluences and about five minutes walk to the entrance to the medina and its maze of souks, the riad is down a local street filled with shops and small cafes and food joints. Easy to get taxis from the entrance to the street. Despite the hustle and bustle on the main street, the Riad is very quiet and a calm space to relax in. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and speak a variety of languages. Imane and her team are to be recommended for their excellent housekeeping, beautiful sheets and willingness to help in any way needed. The room was pleasant with a traditional bathroom, spacious enough and looking over the central courtyard of the house. Upstairs there is a very pleasant terrace area with comfortable seating for sun or shade and is also the location of breakfast. Go there for a breeze on a hot summer evening. The riad also has a small cool pool in the courtyard.

Despite the place being beautiful and the workers very kind, the sheets in our room were dirty, the bathroom was outside the room, every time we took a shower the bathroom was flooded and every day when we returned to the room (which we left locked up) they moved our belongings (things placed inside the suitcases, suitcases closed and placed in another position, shoes moved, things placed inside the wardrobe, etc) and breakfast was very poor in variety and quantity. These things don't happen everywhere, in fact, it didn't happen at none of the 5 other places we stayed during our trip to Morocco, whose online ratings were much lower. As hygiene and our belongings are fundamental for us, we rate the Riad with 6 out of 10. After making our evaluation, we received several messages and audios from the owner, demanding explanations in a very rude way. We politely explained the situation and said that it was a way for them to know what they could improve to be even better and that despite everything we would recommend the place to our friends. We were surprised by more messages and extremely rude audios, this time calling us liars, saying that we had to change our review and that if we returned to Marracheck we would not be accepted in this Riad. It was an extremely unpleasant situation, even when we mentioned that she was being rude, the response we got was that she would talk to us however she wanted, because the Riad is hers. After reading other reviews we realized that it didn't just happen to us and that if we don't give the Riad a high rating the owner will blame us for their mistakes and her lack of professionalism. We were extremely disappointed.

Wonderful experience in a wonderful place! Perfect welcome from the Riad staff. The room was very confortable and the breakfast, consumed on the terrace of the roof of the Riad was very good. I can also suggest a dinner here. We spent 4 night here and it deserves the stay!

Attention to detail, plus the guidance from hotel staff was tremendous from start to finish. This allowed us to get the most out of our stay in Morocco. Local intelligence by staff was exceptional, allowing our expectations to be delivered and exceeded.

Lovely little place, nice touches with decor and breakfast was great. Helpful staff and central location. We would definitely recommend having a tour guide booked to take you through the souk & we organised this through the riad in advance.
